POWER vs. PRECISION!
Ahead of Campbell Hatton's professional debut, here is one of his father Ricky's greatest fight!
On November 22nd 2011, Ricky Hatton was a 45 fight veteran and had just lost his WBC Welterweight title to none other than Floyd Mayweather. In typical “Hitman” fashion, Hatton never took an easy fight and was eager to welcome the former 140-lb. IBF champ Paulie Malignaggi to the weight class.
Many considered Hatton to be over the hill, and “Money Man” to be the new mainstay in the division. But what happened in the fight, surprised everyone!

That's the problem with boxing. How do you think it's gonna be when we'll have to say "oh i wish this guy fight that guy and oh why didn't they fight" about today's fighters? I really hope fighters quit ducking and promoters keep themselves from making it hard for these fights to happen so then we won't have to mourn about lost fights. For now though, let's enjoy what we get. I'm sorry y'all never got to it.

It could have happened Chris as stated by the Top Rank Ceo:Bob Arum way back as they we're both in the same Division 140Lbs Light Welterweight they already planed to fight Cotto and Hatton that time but there's an (if) in that future bout. If they both get passed their Current Opponents at that time which was "Hatton" vs "Mayweather" and on the Other Hand "Cotto" vs "Margarito"-1 which we all know the outcome that they both loss which the fight didn't happen it could have been fireworkz

People forget about Hatton he was putting huge amounts of weight on between fights then having to sweat it off during camp and he was pretty much a full blown alcoholic....his training camps were a combination of weight watchers and alcoholics anonymous.....you cant live that and expect to get away with it....floyd and manny don't live that way that's for sure....still an excellent champion a 2 weight world champion and undisputed ring magazine champion at light welterweight....not a bad career👌....pauli too an excellent champion i remember his fight with cotto fighting with a broken jaw at msg with all those Puerto Ricans....he was in the bear pit all right🤣👊

Hatton did not evolve in his style. But he has a lot of potential looking back on his earlier fights! Maybe if a Freddie Roach or a Robert Garcia kind of coach is his trainer those loopholes will be patched and something else will be added to his arsenal! He seems to not be able to adjust which is natural to class A fighters like Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao or Roy Jones Jr! He should be among them with a little tweak on his fighting style!

Those fighters you mentioned were supreme athletes not just great boxers. It comes down also to skill and mindset. Ricky doesn't have fast hands or fast feet and gets impatient. I honestly feel if he spent his career in the US with the same skills we wouldn't hear much about Hatton. If Paulie had power in his hands it would be a short night for Ricky.
