Miss my ‘69 Bonneville every day. No cruise control, no hydraulic brakes, no ABS, no anything. 2 wheels and a bad ass British engine. Nothing sounds like a vintage British bike and there is no substitute. Great video thank you for taking the time to share and be good to that wicked scoot.

I grew up on one similar. What a great sound 👍🥰 I just got done putting a 71 engine in a 77 frame.

I just bought my first british bike, a 1964 Triumph Trophy, so I've been watching Triumph related videos. So far I've been loving the bike. Really fun to ride. Front brake is nearly non-existent though. (I believe I have the same front brake you've got on your 71. Previous owner upgraded to the later twin shoe hub.) I thought the front brakes on my 1975 Honda CB750 were bad, but compared to the Triumph they're like Brembos. I'll have to take off the wheel and open it up to check and see if maybe it needs new brake shoes.

Kool to hear Dave! Hard to get anything impressive out of the factory drum setup but with both front and back set correctly and trans breaking its not to bad... sometimes its safer to just keep on goin. Be easy brotha! 👊🔥

whats the gearing setup? 46 rear and 20 front?

Right on.. it was originally 46/19 currently running 46/20 🤙
