I should probably do this on my ‘84… it’s only got 22k miles, but it still has the factory belt. I don’t entirely trust 40-year-old rubber. Also, I normally hate background music, but you’ve chosen something NOT annoying.
@CravingClassics2 ай бұрын
Yeah I would definitely change it! The time has more effect than mileage on rubber most times. Thanks for watching 🤙

Which gray scuff pads did you use? i wanna do this method with a color change on a dash and i want to keep the og texture as much as I can but still scuff for a good bond. Also when you repaired the cracks when do you sprinkle on the baking soda, right after it holds together? Thanks for the vid!
@CravingClassics11 ай бұрын
3M gray is ultra fine. I usually glue, and sprinkle afterwards, but I have tried premix when gaps are larger. Thank you for watching!

I own an ‘86 NA, resprayed in its original red. I’ve been updating or restoring as much as possible with my recent project being repairing and reupholstering the speaker covers, tonneau cover and cover flap behind the driver (non 2+2). I genuinely appreciate that you are a part of the classic Z community and giving life to a well deserved car. Excellent work; I hope the Z brings you more joy than before.

I just love this sound. There's a triumph Bonneville turned into a hard tail bobber at a garage I pass and I got to hear it idle and pull away, it had a long lope that reminded me of an old hit and miss engine and a Harley-like rumble pulling away, it was music!
