Dave took me for a ride in his 1959 Electra 225 four door flat top. Did a full video on the car, as Dave is planning on selling it. He already sold the 59 Chevy and 59 Pontiac four door flat tops. I will put a link into the description of the eBay auction, as soon as he lists it.
We also took the 1963 Wildcat out for a nice ride too. I have had tons of comments, on why we didn't take it out in the last video. It was not road legal at that time... it is now. Keep an eye on my channel for that video, coming soon.
If you like my video, hit the like button. If you enjoy my channel, please subscribe, and thank you for watching.

I was born in 1958. Since the time i was a toddler, i have fond memories of sitting in Grampa's black Electra. I was amazed at the chrome flippers that made the windows go down. I had forgotten about the chrome top on that window glass. My feet didn't touch the floor, but i always knew Grandpa's car when i saw him pull-in. I'd run out and get some lemon drops, or maybe a banana or a windmill cookie. Great memories, and plush old ride for sure. They really don't make them like this anymore.

When I was a kid, my father owned an auto repair shop. He would come across all kinds of nice cars. One of the many nice cars he came across was a '59 Buick Invicta black, white top, red interior. So nice, I still remember it, until this day.

There's something's to be said about cars without the multifunctional, touch screen, infotainment stack hogging the middle of the dash. God help you if that one unit controlling the radio, heater, AC and who knows what else, goes on the fritz. I prefer separate units for the radio, and heater/AC. Simple On/Off, Fan Speed and slide levers for Vent/Defrost and Temp: Cool-Cooler-Cold. I don't recall this owner saying his car has AC and I didn't see a compressor in the engine bay. Vintage Air would make it comfortable year round. I can see a glove box CD player, maybe discreet 6x9's on the package shelf, but most songs are under 3 minutes. By the time you've adjusted all the buttons on new radios, the song has ended. I understand adding seat belts for safety. Im sure someone could attach lap and some type of shoulder belt from under the front seat. Now new cars can be totaled by insurance companies simply because too many airbags deployed in a minor accident and the replacement cost for the bags is prohibitive, yet the actual body damage to the vehicle isn't significant. Some cars require you to remove the bumper to replace a headlight bulb. My first car was a '72 Dodge Challenger R/T. 318/Slapstik Torqueflight. I'm happy the big three have found success with the retro designed pony cars, but everytime I see a "new" Challenger, I think of that saying: "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery."

@@OldCarAlley When I was a young boy, my parents took my brother and me from Tulsa to Seattle by way of Route 66 to California and up the coast for the 1962 World's Fair. Somehow we survived.

@@chuckster3629 Vacations back in that era were awesome. We took cross country trips several times as a kid. Our family always had a station wagon that we traveled in. One was a 1959 Chevrolet Parkwood, with no power anything, another was a 1966 Ford Country Sedan with no A/C and the last one for family vacations was a 1972 Ford Country Squire, that did have A/C. The video I did of Dave and I going to look at a 72 Ford wagon, was our old 72 Ford Country Squire.

COOL, my Aunt had a Wildcat about 1963-64, she was always setting off the speed alarm. I was just watching the old Road and Track with Bud Lindemann and he was testing a 74 Buick. We had a 59 Olds Dynamic 88 Fiesta wagon with i think the 371?
