This time, I enjoyed traveling alone from Tokyo Station to Ito Station.
The Saphir Odoriko is a comfortable and elegant train, as all the cars have green seats.
But it is a popular train, and on the day I boarded it was announced that all seats were reserved!
One-way fare: ¥6,970🇯🇵 $47🇺🇸 £40.9🇬🇧
Route: Tokyo - Ito
Train name: Saphir Odoriko #1
Seat: Green Car
Lunch: Sakiyo-ken's shioumai bento for ¥900🇯🇵 $6.1🇺🇸 £5.3🇬🇧
The Saphir Odoriko is the pride of Japan's luxury trains connecting Izu, one of Japan's most popular tourist destinations, and Tokyo.
The train cars have large windows and skylights that provide a great view of the scenery, allowing passengers to admire the natural beauty of Izu's sea and mountains.
The train is equipped with green private rooms, so you can spend time without hesitation while chatting with your good friends and family.
Incidentally, Mr. Kiyoyuki Okuyama, who designed the Ferrari Enzo, was in charge of the design.
