I used to sing this to my son to get him to sleep at night. The song is love. Pure and simple. I found the song on a Sire music sample CD called "Just Say Yes" or it was "Just Say Da", it's been so long I don't remember the title. My friends and I started a band and used The Cure and Ride as our muse. I miss feeling music. Not just listening to it, but FEELING it.

Would you keep a room in your house empty and with the door locked incase one day someone wanted to stay their and tried to get in? I don't think so. If you wanted a guest, you would make the room nice inside and the door would be open. This room is your heart. The experience that you have described is clearly very painful and hurtful. These feelings will last, but they will also diminish if you try to keep that room in good condition for other people.

Perhaps the tracks could have been divided in half as parts I&II akin to chapters in a novel. Andy Bell is one of the best songwriters of his era, always will be. But i could never understand how he turned into the shoegazing version of Mick Jones (Foreigner) i.e. "I write the songs so I will be the front guy." Here he doesn't even sing the lead vocals, it's Gardener's voice with an echo-chamber Andy Bell in the background but he mimes Gardener's lines. This eventually destroyed the band first time around, I mean Andy Bell IS Ride but he never needed to be the frontman. Glad they are back though!
