Note that cable routing may vary between generations. Make sure to take a photo of the chainstay cables before you begin the wheel removal to match the original cable routing on your Revv 1.

Why in the world does this bike not have a breakaway portion in the cable routing, that would alleviate all of this nonsense? Does it just come down to being a security issue? That you have to go through this entire process to remove your rear wheel, is a really big PITA. Will the second generation of the Revv 1, fix this design oversight?

All that to change a tire cmon guys I hope I don’t get a flat. It’s easier to buy a new bike. Update with a quick release this is crazy.

Quick release is a terrible idea for security reasons. However, I do agree, this is quite a lot of work. I’ve had to change my flat tire twice and it is a nightmare. I do understand why it is done this way though. By having all the connections housed inside the controller box, everything is protected from the elements.

I own 2 RadPower bikes both with quick release motor cables and never had any security issues in the three years of ownership. It is definitely much more convenient than my Revv1.

I don’t get it why would you remove your rear wheel for? If there is a flat tire you cannot just fix it the same way you fix a puncture in a wheels car?
