I was brought into Cycling by the latest tdf, and stayed because of Lanterne Rouge. I hope you get the recognition you clearly deserve in the world of cycling. Very good job.

Your sens of humour never fails to amaze me. I’m sure the berghain joke flew over most peoples heads but for those who know it’s hillarious. Never associated underground German techno clubs with cycling but you went there and I love you so much for it. Good stuff

Sad for Almeida, all the hard😪. That Remco TT was incredible . Tiny body, but awesome power . Hope he can withstand the Spanish heat for the next stages all the way to Madrid .

He had actually a bad TT for his level even if you subtract the 15-20 sec he would still not make top 10 and behind Mas losing time on all rivals… he doesn’t have his GIRO level here

I had a rider not look up when I worked deviation at RWC Bergen 2017. It was devastating. He went 300 m on the small narrow road up to Mount Fløyen, just looking at his stem. By the time he looked up I was signaling the motorbike out and he took that as a signal for himself. I changed the pattern of my signal whistle after that. Luckily he was multiple minutes back. I wouldn't have slept if it was relevant.

Yes he’s always been an above average TT rider in 2017 he took 4th in a TT and won the GC at tour of Denmark only 37 seconds off of Brandle he won a TT ahead of castroviejo Benjamin thomas and drucker in a French stage race as well as a 12th in a giro TT only 50 seconds behind domoulin he’s a very good bike handler I’d wager it gives him the edge over other non TT specialists

Remco as an outside Linebacker is probably not quite the position that suits him the most. The Ravens are to good of a defense to sign him - I'd put my money on the Lions in that case. But I'd say he'd make a steady runner though

Close before the finish all the cars need to take a separate exit. It's usually there that riders take a wrong turn. Can't really block it off.

The organizers hand out maps for each stage, including measurements on the finishes. There's also nothing stopping the cars from yelling directions over the radio, as they are already yelling anyway. Mental errors are part of the sport. On the plus side, he got his sponsors' logos on the evening news even without winning!

It's about time that Grand Tour organizers restore proper ITT stages, 40 Km minimum as it used to be not so long ago. It might not be good for TV coverage, but it would allow strong and versatile riders to compete for the Top 3 GC throughout the 3-week race.

That “mist machine” is called a swamp cooler. Very effective in hot, dry climates.

Carlos Rodriguez was an excellent TT rider already before he got to Ineos.

I don’t think excellent is the right word He was good in the junior ranks before ineos but he was consistently dominanted by the actual junior TT guys in 2019 he got crushed by almost 3 minutes by Quinn Simmons in the junior worlds and Quinn is a terrible TT rider but in 2021 on Ineos he got 25th at the worlds ITT beating some legit TT guys like thomas cerny leknessund uran etc he’s become a top 30 TT guy under ineos when before ineos he was not even a top 30 junior TT rider

@@balmorrablue3130 fair point. Although national tt champ a couple of times in a row, he may not have been excellent on a world stage. As often happens, junior results don't translate directly into elite results (Simmons was a full grown man at 18... I rode with Carlos in Malaga 3y ago and he was just a kid). It would have been better to describe him as mainly a TT rider (meaning that is the discipline he is best at)... apparently with a big margin of growth.

Cannot understand why wear that neck band by Eeevenepoel when it should cover your mouth or upto the nose for aero effect. Effective though won... the TT and fast.

Most young Europeans, especially from West- and Northern Europe speak very good English. Even though it isn't very extensively taught in school. For example, It's only a minor subject starting from age 12 or 14 in Belgium. Yet we expect students to be fluid in English when entering university.

i quite like the soundbite you do but for the proper pronountiation try using the same sound you use while saying GEOghen hart as the first e in evenepoel. the rest of the pronountiation is perfect.
