Wow! I loved the small history lesson setting the stage for the run! It would be really interesting if you do this for some of the smaller, lesser known nations, since Spain, France, England, etc. get a lot of love when learning history in the classroom.

Was the fort in Corfu really that bad ? Had once a Gotland game where I conquered and build a fortification in Osel. Probably the most beneficial building I have ever seen in this game. This fort helped me stackwiped nearly a million enemy troops during my campaign.

Yeah, i just delete it later. Because if the Otos cross, its possible for them to go there, and you can trap them for sometime. So, honestly, it served me well a lot of times.

I was very lucky, Lodi. I allied with Aragon and Austria and declared war on the Byzantines, but the war was delayed a little due to my poor experience. But at the same time, while I was besieging Constantinople, the Ottomans declared war on the Byzantines, and when I made the peace deal with the Byzantines, I made it dependent on me and became in A war with the Ottomans, and with me Aragon and Austria, and in the first six years I was able to return the Byzantine lands and liberate Bulgaria

Slavery was normal before christianity, it was not seen as evil but simply as unfortunate for the slaves, different ways to see the world

I personally recommend taking all Constantinople trade ports in the first war against otto. You will simply make more money. Additionally taking constantinople gets you faceting

You can use the Fort of Corfu as an army trap if you have naval superiority. Once ready come with a stronger army, win the battle and they can't retreat. Stack wipe.

that can work ofc, but in most cases a fort isn't required, especially since you can trap them on naxos much easier
