When uli is tired I don’t like his commentary. He killed it in the tournament but I think we commentators who didn’t just play 6 hour rounds. I love uli, but after seeing some commentators that have notes and have already watched the round, that just seems like the way to to it

Thanks for another great video Jonathan. Love watching these highlights. You were a little quiet during your part in the beginning. If you use Premiere Pro, try adding “multiband compressor” on the audio. Specifically the “broadcast” setting. It will make you sound like you’re mic’d up. It’s an excellent effect. Wish you and your crew the best 🙏

Anyone else notice when the distance ticker comes on at times like 7:30 the frames seem to drop significantly until it disappears? I wonder why this happens

Great footage as usual. Sound editing could use a lot of work, volume levels are not at all balanced when switching between footage types. It's frustrating having to turn my speakers down for the standard intro and up for the interview style portions.

Or any other tournament that people were waiting on and already watched because we were starved for months without any. I was thinking that. I'm a nobody and I can blast a putter that far. And I get more accurate when I throw as hard as I can.. Would love to have a go at that hole. I suspect I would realise quite quickly that it's harder than it looks

5:15 BS, that distance with putter to downhill doesn't need much power, only accuracy and right stability disc that flies straight all the way and you can easily park it every time if you hit cap.

Alright I'll say it; I'm not a fan of Uli's commentary, or Big Barri as a unit during coverage. It's too silly, a little all over the place, and for me, it gets in the way of the golf itself. It's a distraction and too casual, and isn't enhancing my viewing. I think it's great for Showmez and even highlights like this video. But for coverage it's rather unprofessional, especially if disc golf is going to continue growing in profile. I doubt CBS or any other network would broadcast disc golf coverage with the Big Barri silliness. It's also less friendly to novices; it's based on already being familiar with the sport, the pros, and the coverage already.

That's fair. Personally though, I think uli's commentary is spot on. IMO big jerm spends too much time talking about other things. Reminds me of Ian anderson going on for whole minutes about how good the players are and how cool it is to hang out with them. Not that I don't appreciate what Jeremy or Ian do for the community, and I still gladly consume their commentary.

I definitely prefer Nate's professionalism and awareness of when to cut in and Big Sexy has a better balance of jokes to seriousness in their commentary. Uli is very knowledgeable and is funny, but he and Jerm sound like two friends hanging out at times and it is not as refined as Big Sexy. Uli also doesn't have the command to fill in when Jerm doesn't have something to say.
