I can watch that forever, it is so relaxing watching you travel and show us around. From all those traveling alone through Japan or abroad channels you are one of the top. Still, I wonder though, how many people are in a train at a time filming silently, while checking the seats, the power plugs, cup holders, etc and present snacks to the camera. Anyway, I am looking forward visiting Japan coming year.

I just got home from my 14 days Japan trip, and still Hokkaido is on the top of my list. The vibe in Sapporo, Hakodate, and Hokkaido in general is very chill, very different from huge city like Tokyo or Osaka. I miss it already, took this train too! Thank you for your beautiful video!

Reminds a lot of my hometown. As my dad used to say: "Remember kid, if it snows then it is warm. But if the skies are clear, you'll gonna freeze to death." ❄ Very true, since it's rarely snowing when the temperature is lower that -20C, so from 0 to -10C is actually warm. Very beautiful weather in Sapporo. Thank you for the nice video. 🥰

Although this ride is not on a Shinkansen, I found it very fascinating. I liked the view of the Snow from the train window. Watching this Snowy landscape whizz by while eating an Ekiben feels so relaxing. I enjoyed being shown the bathroom amenities aboard the Express. Most of all I loved the large windows on this Sapporo Express.

I enjoyed the passage along the coast, with the rain and the choppy waters and being in the comfort of the cabin. A pity that the train does not have vending machines on board, on long distances. Very much appreciated the reverence of the driver when exiting the cabin, indicative of respect and courtesy. I cannot fail to mention the much-loved "bento". Thanks for the ride.🇺🇾

Hokkaido was fully incorporated into Japan in 1869. But to be fully accurate, the Matsumae clan was given the domain (in Matsumae) in 1590 by Shogun Hideyoshi Toyotomi. Centuries prior to 1590, there were settlements of Japanese in Hokkaido.

Very nice train ride, I love seeing Hokkaido. Interesting that it wasn't part of Japan until 1869. Did they have to change their language?
@nomobobby
@nomobobby Жыл бұрын
Yes, the previous language was Ainu, in the same language family (Japanese) but different words & more sound combinations. Time and geopolitics (split between Japan and Russia, both of them wanted their islands for themselves) haven't been kind to them, as the native speakers are dying out.
