Nice review, not been up there for 25 years! If you're using a GoPro I've been really impressed with a complete foam cover for mine (about a tenner from Amazon, other shops are available) really cut down the wind noise but keeps good voice. I'll check out your other videos, looks like most folks aren't going anywhere today as we sit out storm Eunice. Safe travels bud, and thanks for sharing

Thanks dude. That’s a great recommendation. I think I will look at getting a gopro cover. Yeah the wind is crazy. Doesn’t look like many of us will be getting out riding this weekend.

Always love the more natural riding days like these away from trail centres. These rides make you realise just how much amazing riding there actually is out there for everyone to find and enjoy. I learnt loads from trail centres, but that first ride on natural trail helps you realise what areas need work etc. Great video fella! Not sure if you have one, but I really would invest in a wind sleeve for your gopro, makes a world of difference 👍🏼

Yeah, trail centres are great for practicing and refining skills. The real outdoors is where all the skills come together. I definitely think some sort of wind cover is next on my shopping list.

Oh yesss, lovely bit o Derbyshire there tha noz! Did Stanage plantation other week, featured in my recent video. It's an iconic section of trail. Great fun, slightly nervy. Little secret.... it's always windy as hell. Though you're right it's not a beginner trail it's actually fairly straightforward (apart from the gate post I crashed in to 😂), just a bit chunky in parts. You ride it well, but then again 160mm on a 29er... 😜 Piece of.... Only saying that coz I've only ever ridden it in a HT or a short travel FS.

Haha yeah it’s a great bit of trail. I have seen it so many times from my days as a crock climber, that I just had to come and ride it. I think you are right saying that it is pretty straightforward once you get going. From the top I t looks worse than it is. Nice and easy on an endurobike (and it would have been a lot smoother if I had of remembered to switch my suspension back on after the climb up…rookie error). Next time will be on a hardtail. Watch this space :)

Cumberland clough is my favourite descent in the Peak District, the top half is faster with loose rocky corners and the bottom section is techy with many rocks and roots. It’s near Charity Lane descent (also very techy) so it’s easy enough to do both in the same ride.

To be fair he didn't find it.... 🤔 that's possibly one of the most well known, indeed, iconic descents in UK mountain biking.... It's featured in that many magazines. It's a great feature though, really cool!
