I made a 26" front wheel for my Maiden as I was always wanting to do. I finally got it finished and now I want to put it on and got to Whistler for the first time this year! I was able to ride A-line which was awesome! It was running so well.
I still had to take it a bit easier than normal though just because of my elbow. I am just so happy that the day went so well and I had so much fun!
HUGE thanks to all my PATRONS who take this channel farther! Enjoy more content:

Siiiick. I'm in Ecuador and 26" is still the most common form factor, due to reduced cost and I guess they send old stock down here?? But yeah still very much alive.

I do the exact same thing. Intense m9, takes 27.5, fork will take 29 but I run 26 on both ends. I'm not racing anymore I'm all about fun. Saves weight, more agile and way better on almost anything. Screw reality I substitute my own !

Does anyone really find 29ers that less playful or “flickable” in one of Jordan’s own videos he rides the Scott Gambler 29 and actually clears a gap he couldn’t get before.
@streamlinehd5509
@streamlinehd5509 2 жыл бұрын
I think the 'playful' thing on the 26inch doesn't really matter on jumps, 29 are actually mostly better as in ur example but in turns 26 make theyr difference😉🤝
@JordanBoostmaster
@JordanBoostmaster 2 жыл бұрын
29ers can carry speed better which helped for making that gap you referred to. I do have to say I find 29ers much less playful, and don't feel as good on jumps for the most part, but that's my opinion!

29ers have more rotational mass which makes them more stable in the air. However, they are more difficult to move around.

No, it's the chainstay length that matters. Shorter wheels means shorter chainstays, so more playful.

Hopefully next year I can upgrade it and also buy my first full suspension and wishing I can build an all mountain or an full Enduro bike! Sick video as always bro! 🔥😁

I still had a 26'' Iron Horse 6Point4 until I sold it a few years back to pay for my Orange Five in 27.5, but the Iron Horse was sick AF man, such a nice bike and it just ploughed through DH runs like it was nothing, would've made for a great wee bike to have for uplifting at Innerleithen and eventually the Golfy there too once that gets turned into a bike park. I dunno if you've ever been to Scotland but the riding over here is next level, the Tweed Valley itself is just so dense with trails you could spend a year there riding all kinds of trails and still find out about new stuff getting dug, it's sick man. Definitely worth a trip over but it's a completely different style of riding here, there's tons of steep, techy stuff that's filled with roots and that's what we all enjoy haha.
