I love that the “hellhound” is just a happy and friendly good boy. Even the dogs in this movie can’t act.

I remember seeing this show live with my parents! It was a fantastic time but for months, any time i had my door locked, my dad would start going "Open up Torgo!" 😂

I remember reading an account by the woman who played the daughter. When she and her family attended premiere, she was devastated to hear the dubbed voice of some random grandmother uttering her lines.

Do we really need another riffing of Manos? Yes. Yes we do.

I still love Mike hosting the costume competition at the MST3k convention all but losing it as one guy comes up, dancing in a green Torgo suit, declaring himself as "Mr Torgo B. Natural..."

Torgo isn't the hero we deserved, but he's the hero we needed.

Pleased to see this is back after the fake copyright infringement takedown. Apparently that dickhead media group is known for filing fake disputes on stuff in the public domain. Good on RiffTrax for fighting that shit. I've already watched this one but I'll support (almost) anyone fighting the good fight against fake claims.

My favorite piece of trivia about this movie will always be that the script called for the actor playing the Master to just stand there menacingly for a few minutes, but he hated the very thought so much that he improvised his prayer to Manos to give himself something to do

Mst3k has been a big part of my life. Thanksgiving day, the show is always playing in the background. Thank you Mike, Kevin, Bill, trace, mary jo, frank, joel for the many years of laughter!

57:16 In every interview about making "Manos" that I've ever read, Bernie Rosenblum (who did stunts, was the guy in the British sportscar marking out with the girl) or the camera guy complained that shooting in the dark always attracted moths, because their location was a ranch on the outskirts of town and the trees were full of them. They never thought to shoot day for night even once, that's how raw to film-making the crew were.

I've seen this riff more than the Godfather trilogy, Citizen Kane, and the entire filmographies of Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini, and Coleman Francis combined, wouldn't have it any other way. Great experience, no notes, I even bought the soundtrack.

This is why I left a scathing review of the Valley lodge.

I was at this live show with my dad. It was unforgettable and is still just as funny.

This movie proves that if you are going to shoot wild track (soundless) and dub everything in later, it's still good practice to have a tape recorder on set so your dubbers can match the intonations of how the actors spoke the lines, so the lips match better if the dubbers are not the actors in the film.

My favorite re-riffed movie. Just as funny the second time around.

Fun fact: the prune juice pusher was Olan Soule, the voice of Batman in the 1970s Superfriends cartoon.

My grandma swore by the fruit juice of the prune. And she shared her passion with me by making me drink glasses of it after school to ensure regularity, and I can testify I was regular 😮

I hate every BIT of this movie…yet I’m SO glad to be here with the guys! Also, the riff “Dionne Warwick is drunk again!” Is classic.

While intriguing they show more footage from the film than the MST3k version, it's puzzling they omit the film's "clip show" end credits...

Sad thing, for real. John Reynolds (Torgo) turned 25 in September of '66, and killed himself a month later, a month before this movie was released. I actually can see beyond the character makeup. He was a cutie.

It's interesting to see an early MST3K with Joel played thirty some-odd years later with Mike and Rifftrax. A lot of the original lines are still playing. The part where torgo gets tge luggage, in the original Servo says 'its like having Joe Cocker as your bellhop.'

I kind of love the idea that this movie is about Torgo's first and last day on the job.

One of the best theater experiences I ever had was attending the encore of this live show and getting to sit next to a group who had never seen the movie. Their reactions were glorious.

Took me forever to figure out Torgo's enormous knees. He's a satyr but there's never a reveal.

Oh bless you guys. I remember seeing this years ago and always wanted to see it again because it was Hi-larious. Now I just arrived in Cambodia after being up since 3 a.m. on various international flights and nothing would make settling in after a long day better than this. EDIT: And even a Cambodia reference!
