My thoughts on pre and post match checklist and also the things that went right and wrong at the match this weekend. Propabably the most important steps to remember is your pre stage checklist and mentally ready for anything they throw at you. It’s easy for a new shooters to lose their train of thought in the heat of the moment. You can customize your checklist anyway you want. Add or remove stuff but once the timer begins you do not wanna draw blank. When you see a professional shooter they seem to move in slow motion but never have an issue with time, They are flawless. That’s because they are confident with their pre game and every movement is calculated. A pistol shooter drawing from holster or precision rifle shooter off a rooftop. The pre-game and mental game is what will make or break you in a competition.

and Happy Memorial Day to you. Always look forward to your videos. Also appreciate the sacrifice you make by recording videos at your matches. Glad your secure with admitting and sharing your mishaps so others can learn from them. Have to admit I got a kick out of your empty magazine story, "man that bolt is smoooothh. Keep up the good work and vids, I've learned so much from them and look forward to your next one.

Quick tip when loading, i do 100 at a time and during the process if the brass isn’t primed yet i keep them in the shell holder upside down. I’ve loaded my share of unprimed brass and since I’ve started this I haven’t had an issue.

The Hide I do all mine in 100’s to. I sized 300 piece and stood them up in loading blocks. I added primers to the first 100 and grabbed the wrong block and began adding powder. Lessons learned!

Very good points to remember. I've always used a Mil/MOA, 2nd focal plane scope. Have zero problems so far. Never been to a longer range, competitive precision match. Mostly IDPA, Steel Challenge and 3-Gun. All have time limits, making seconds either an asset or liability. The faster you go the better. Do people have slower times if using Mil/MOA scopes when compared to Mil/Mil or MOA/MOA scopes?
