Great video! What do you think of a simple shoulder pad that you can attach to your shoulder instead of the camera? So you could just attach a very small quick releases plate. What's the total weight of the camera with all the accessories? Can you walk shoot with it all day from the shoulder? It's kind of frustrating that you still need a lot of accessories for the fx9, it's the same problems you have to fix than with the fs7 mark1 like the long viewfinder, the shoulder pad, the short viewfinder arm..

Side note question: do you know of any recorders that will allow to record the 16 Bit Linear Raw signal from the FX9 Extension unit without loss of bit depth? Atomos Shogun apparently will downsample to 12 Bit Prores Linear Raw, which in being none Log has big dynamic range disadvantageous in the shadows, as you've often stated. Then there's also the Atomos Neon monitors, but not much news on that front. Thanks again! :D

Thank you for all of your great videos. Unfortunately, people like myself need a camera that is balanced for real cinema lenses such as the Canon 17 to 120. If you use that lens you cannot balance this camera properly especially using the existing Sony viewfinder. I find these box cameras to be completely annoying. And wish Sony would build a full frame camera sensor designed and balanced for handheld work. When using a heavier lens. You have to push the camera body back so far that there are very few shoulder mounts that allow you to push the camera back that far, you also then have to use an external viewfinder other than the Sony because the cable is not long enough to push it far enough forward where you can actually balance the camera. I own a Venice which I can balance better than the FX nine unfortunately it’s just very heavy. However the FX nine ends up being about 33 pounds after adding all the GAC to it necessary to make it function properly radio mics camera Mike extended viewfinder things to allow you to shoot it with a real cinema lens and not a lightweight still or Sony lens. The camera makes great pictures. However Sony left out for this price point a lot of the features that you have with the f55, and other features. Power to the lens having a viewfinder that you can extend long enough to balance. And many other features that are left out of this camera. I was forced to buy this camera because of my Venice and wanting something to match a second angle. However I shoot mainly high end publicity or promos. And using a real lens makes it extremely difficult to balance. I believe Sony is missing the boat and they should build a $25,000 or so balanced for handheld work, with a real lens. As far as their Rall back that will except a radio Mike. What a poor design. It’s wider than the camera body extremely ugly. So I have chosen not to use it. As a Sony user for 40+ years I have always loved their products. However it would really be great to have an F 900 style camera design for Full frame. That is balanced properly. I would buy such a camera in a moment. The jump financially between the FX nine and the Venice is extreme. It would be great if Sony would build something in between that price point that is designed for non- still lens users. This has been a very frustrating experience for me. Not to sound negative the camera makes beautiful pictures. Thanks for listening to my rant.
