I grew up hearing friends and family telling ethnic jokes and whining about (paraphrased) "uppity black folks" in the period 10-15 years after MLK's assassination. Even the more sympathetic people who didn't use the n-word thought he, "went about it the wrong way," and, "didn't like having all that stuff pushed in their faces." This mindset has persisted into Jeremy and Charlie's generation, and this *whole time* they've been chomping at the bit wanting to have an excuse to say it out loud. For them to suggest they've "moved on since the Civil Rights Era" is ridiculous.

As a black person, I can admit that there is a growing anti-wyte* sentiment in the country. That said, it's not right, but it's a response to past anti-minority* sentiments that still exists in society. The solution is to admit biases on both sides and try to start treating everyone as individuals instead of assuming general stereotypes...just my opinion.

Whenever I hear these people, I just want to ask them for examples of anti-white racism and discrimination. Because they're very vague about it, plus I've never witnessed it ... and I'm pretty sure nobody ever has. Because it cannot be called racism if the group being allegedly discriminated against has MORE POWER than the alleged perpetrators. Skin colour is only one half of the definition of racism. The other half is the POWER differential between the racist groups and the victims. ANTI-WHITE RACISM DOES NOT, AND CANNOT, EXIST! It is simply NOT a thing!

It's crazy that they believe black people who get jobs in higher positions aren't really qualified but also believe people would hire black people in higher positions if there weren't rules against discrimination in hiring practices. They'd still probably think most black people aren't qualified for most positions especially higher up positions. Why would these types of people need or want to hire black people if it wasn't laws against discrimination?

It's crazy they're admitting to going more to the right and also how the Overton window is going to the right. And there's people still claiming "both sides are equal" not that both sides have problems, but they're "equal". While you have voices on one side saying civil rights is an inherent problem for society and the other side is just saying people are wrong for saying that civil rights is destroying the country.
