I was in high school when this album was released. Radio stations wouldn't play this song. The awesome guitar is Glen Campbell.

You are nailing the club scene. This is Chicago blues. Like Delta but with fender guitars, electric base and that organ with a Leslie. Delta was box guitar, bass vil' if they were rich, and a homade jug affair. (whatever it was called.) With a broomstick a cord and a washtub. The clubs in the 50's in Chicago were huge, and very loud. The amplification was really needed.

There’s no one like The Righteous Brothers. I’ve been listening to them since the 60’s which makes me old lol. There’s one of there songs that doesn’t get much play and that “Rock And Roll Heaven”. It’s there tribute song to stars that have passed. It’s from 1974 and there a live video. Try it out. “You Won’t Be Disappointed “.

They do a cover of a Ray Charles tune, “What’d I Say”, from the same Andy Williams show where Bobby sings “Unchained Melody”. They’re just messing around with Williams, who sings some too, but you can see the point where Bobby almost stops them in their tracks when he starts showing off.

They may not be blood brothers, but they are soul brothers. Someone mentioned Everly Brothers, which where blood brothers and have some great songs Let it be me, All I Have to Do is Dream, Bye Bye Love . I find their singing soothing. And yes I have seen singers that look like they are having a painful time singing. And I can think of one.

I can only assume there's no live video performance because of the content of the song. I am pretty sure this would have never been aired on television and it was not played on the radio.

Love to watch u every day...plz say u watched Dirty Dancing...it will help u understand it all...listen to the Everly brothers...Mama had stacks of 45s, 78s , 33 1/3s, from this time ...I had to put a nickel on the needle so it wouldn't skip...lol...u bring joy to my day like u are my child hearing what I grew up on...my Daddys bday would be March 5th and his favorite song was Make the World Go Away by Eddy Arnold.. I would go to the VFW and we would dance to this...he was 82nd Airborne...plz listen to it..💖💖

Bill said in his autobiography (Time of My Life) that he felt his voice was made more for the blues than any other style of music. I've always loved this Bill solo. @@supasoulproductions if you like drum solos try “Buddy Rich impossible Drum Solo” and watch the greatest if not one of the greatest of all time

@@j20tower I have seen it. Buddy was an absolute force of nature. His technical prowess on the kit was unmatched. There are a few more contemporary drummers who have a powerful sense of groove to match, though. Like David Garibaldi, Billy Cobham, Larnell Lewis to name a few.
