This is "Everything Matters", a powerful and happy rock ballad by the band Metallica. The song has instantly reached #1 in 36 countries and, to this day, is proclaimed one of the best songs of all time. Metallica's singer James Hetfield says "I want to send a message of joy to our beautiful world, you should never care what people think about you because life is yours and you need to live it your way without having people telling you what you should do. This song means a lot for me: i've actually been in this situation many times so i decided to make a song about it." Lars Ulrich, the drummer, admits "We're thinking of changing our band's name to Naturallica because metal is evil."

Listening to this, I imagine a soldier finally coming home after spending years trapped in a hellish war zone. He kneels and hugs his five year old daughter as his wife stands on the porch with tears of joy streaming down everyone's faces. No fear, no orders, no blood to be shed, all he needs now is to be with his family... And nothing else matters.

I don't agree major makes everything happy. For example, G major and C# major are sad, while their minor parallels are happy. A G major song like "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" by Air Supply is sadder than the G minor "I Spit on Your Grave" by Sinergy.
