Her life might be a little mundane, but Kaoru gets to go home to Rilakkuma, her endearingly lazy roommate who happens to be a fuzzy toy bear.

10 seconds of film are created each day by one animator and the production team consists of 12 animators. That's a total of 120 seconds, or 2 minutes of film produced a day. Each episode is about 12 minutes long. This means it takes them 6 days worth of animating, and probably another 6 days to act out the voices and mix the sounds and music in. In total, it takes them about 12 days to make an episode. Now I have really come to appreciate every little detail in this wonderful series!

In another behind the scenes video they said the filming itself took 7 months (so the stop motion) and in total the whole thing took them 2 years. I'm happy the show is this good knowing how much time and effort was put into it, it really shows.

Have to admit this show really cured my stress thank you so much for making this series. It's super cute ,the stop motion is so smooth, have good message every episode very perfect to watch when you feel tired after work it's really healing me 😊💜

Soo much time for every second animated film. Wow, they have my respect on the reason why we'll probably wait a while for a season 2. But this is the purest gold I've ever seen, nobody can understand how much I appreciate this because Rilakkuma means a lot to me

They calculate the sun's position in the sky to create the lighting effect to show the seasons! such details. Also I very much appreciate the person who wear the rilakkuma suit in the interview, their performance is very good.

this show was amazing. For some reason I cried in each episode, even in while watching this interview. The show is not sad, its just very real yet so soft and cute. The soundtrack is also so amazing.

The show is great! I got my brother to watch it with me even though he wasn’t interested & then after the first episode, he was like, “Let’s watch another”. He’s grown! LOL This was really a beautiful, brilliant, show & I hope that there’s more seasons to come. By the way, y’all got fans. Put them to work if you need more hands. I’m a fan, I’ll help! Just please make more seasons 😍

This show is absolutely adorable... but I don't understand why it has the TV-PG rating when it could've obviously had the TV-G rating. I guess it's because it's about someone's midlife crisis (which is more relatable to adults,) or it could be that one episode where there was a ghost of a teenage girl (which was rather dark)... but I remember watching Disney's Recess as a kid and it had a Halloween episode that had a bunch of zombie versions of Miss Finster and that show was TV-G, so I don't see why this show couldn't get it.
