Il nome brookland deriva dalla nota corsa inglese 550 Miglia di Brookland per la quale la casa ideò questo modello con doppio albero a camme in testa. Il motore denominato Tipo 9 servì per tutta la produzione Riley fino al 1957. Vettura presente alle Veterane Sulle Strade dei Vini in due esemplari, una Italina e questa del video, olandese. VCC P. When I was a little kid, mad about cars, my dad had a 1936 1098cc Riley nine Kestrel. I dreamed of converting it into a Riley Brooklands. When I was ten years old, he sent the Riley to the scrapyard and bought a new Morris Minor. He drove the Minor on a trip to France with my mother. On the trip it broke a connecting rod, which poked a hole in the side of the engine. Serve him right.
