Because through marriage girls can’t grow as u said .. it is offering more and more restrictions to the womanhood ( especially for a girl who want to explore her own life) .And through ur interview it is becoming more clear …. Its really sad that there are women in the comments finding faults with her when she is taking steps to stand for women. She isnt talking about anything new. Most women go through an identitily crisis after marraige...nobody talks about it becoz they dont have the guts..thats all. Atleast shes doing something about it. Shes putting up a strong front and trying to laugh it off. So instead of commenting about how awkward her laugh is ..understand the pain behind it. I saw another woman's comment that she could do any other job... Really?? There might be some women who have no problem with doing any job. Rima is a very passionate artist.. obviously she would want to pursue her dreams. That doesnot stop just becoz she got married. Women in the comments throwing hate... understand this ..true queens fix each others crowns.

Interviewer is a very good listener, but I think he can sometimes enter the conversation when the subject is repeatedly struggling to express their thoughts (to how they see fit, otherwise it is just a lot of ummming and Ahhing). Also I feel this interview was mostly just complaining and giving justification for hurting parents. Hope to see more relevant and current discussions, other than fish fry incidents that happened eons ago. The feminist discussion in Kerala has progressed beyond that ages ago.

I work at a workspace where I am the only woman, and I have been privileged to not feel the effects of marriage in my work life. But does that mean we should ignore someone else's struggle? She is talking about the movie industry and common people viewing her differently after marriage. As her chances to get work( unlike probably yours or mine) revolves around how society perceives married women as dependents and not having market value. Coming to your point on boxing dalits, she was telling about the issues she heard from another director who worked on the topic. She might have her biases, but I feel you are taking it out of context. Rima I felt was addressing the matter that whatever be the class (even if they are from the oppressed class) women are treated as inferiors in general.

true that, but can't looked down on feminism and I don't think that there's something called "elite feminism."

Which is solely your observation, which does not define her actual existence as a human. It's not like you have been with her all her life to make such a statement. You and me, we have just SEEN a part of these public figures' lives. Can't make any solid statements based off of that alone. Also, a human being can be all that you stated and still exist as a whole human, so no she can't be categorised as "nothing". Oraalu lifeil victim maatram allengil winner maatram aavunnillallo. agree with u Rahul. another fakey one is mammu mohandas., both thinks they are bold and beautiful, but there are so many unheard bold ones in our society who never have enough financial leverage. Mammu talks about expensive cars in between her sickness to the ordinary kerala ladies. all are quite fake, asking their own concience gives the answer, i am fakey fake too. Rima Kallingal has very good acting talent, Mammu mohandas has no acting talent, but gorgeous . Both copies from western interviews.

@@vineetha6942 I am amazed at the way you women deal with criticism against other women. Just swap the gender and you will have a totally different perspective. How about herself and other women in WCC have a take on Dileep and Vijay Babu? Do they have any first hand information regarding their personal lives? No. Same applies for me. Rima and WCC are a self-declared victim community. They wait for occassions to self-victimise and gain attention. That's what do and will be doing their whole lives. On the other hand, female actors like Manju Warrier, Nimisha Sajayan, Dharshana,... who are immensely talented than Rima need not play the victim game. Because they stand strong on their talent.

@@m.l1466 I presume you have good listening skills. Because there were more than one instance in this interview itself where she blames the industry and society for not getting enough work. She is not getting work or paid well because she's not that a great actor or she's not pulling the crowd. A movie won't be sold in her name. Sorry to say that your idol is just crying for attention. Nothing more. Don't be like her
