This video, from 2017, features a combination of visiting ringers from the U.K. and local ringers in New York City ringing the bells at Trinity Church, Wall Street.

May not be known to some, but this Trinity Church is the church that Bob Dylan is referring to in Chimes of Freedom and the chimes we hear now are the bells that - indirectly - inspired that great song back in 1964. The song has been referred to as Dylan's Sermon on the Mount. He describes how he and some friends walking in Manhattan one evening were surprised by a sudden thunderstorm and sought shelter in the church entrance, where the sound of the bells mingled with the thunder and lightening and seemed to him to be tolling for the oppressed, and the death knell of unfairness and cruelty. The inspiration also came from the old song Chimes of Trinity. Far between sundown′s finish and midnight's broken toll We ducked inside a doorway as thunder went crashing As majestic bells of bolts struck shadows in the sounds Seeming to be the chimes of freedom flashing Flashing for the warriors whose strength is not to fight Flashing for the refugees on the unarmed road of flight And for each and every underdog soldier in the night And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sKp_e8upxMrPYZs.html

Obviously not the same bells as these were cast in 2006.

Yes, they are! I think I edited out the "Go Stedman" call due to a foible in the rounds that I did not want to embarrass anyone with.

@@KempBrinson Stedman is easy to detect and especially if a bob is called straight away as the back 5 fall into a descending pattern,. I was in New York in 2019 but sadly no ringing at the time I did ring at the National Cathedral a fabulous 10. I can remember them in the foundry when I was a young boy, my dad was a bell hanger.
