Born Richard Starkey on July 7th, 1940, Ringo Starr knew what he wanted to do from a young age, to become a drummer. With a little help from his friends, Richard acquired the name Ringo Starr, as his friends called him “Rings” since he always wore rings on his fingers. He took a liking to the name and started answering to Ringo Starkey. Eventually he dropped the “key,” added an “R” and the name Ringo Starr was born. On August 18th, 1962, Ringo Starr officially joined Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison, in what would become The Beatles, the most important popular music act of all time, or as Ringo says, “the biggest band in the land.” Ringo has been one of the world's brightest musical luminaries. He’s enjoyed a successful, dynamic career as a drummer, singer, songwriter, collaborator, and producer. And although perhaps not as much of a car enthusiast as some of his bandmates, Ringo has certainly enjoyed multiple unique and luxurious rides. Today, we’re taking a look at the car collection of the one and only, Ringo Starr. Let’s begin.
