Sat in the back of his Mercedes 600 ,he had Nina Simone 8 track tapes from memory in the rear tape player lol.....Had no idea he had brought that car from John Lennon. I know who the current owner of TGU 6M is i believe .I understand in `1979 when George sold it on for £200k it went to a Japanese collector, i believe it went to Japan for a while............ .

I have a very old photo taken by my father (who was a massive Beatles fan, so much so i can not stand hearing them any longer). The photo is of an E type jag outside a record shop on New Kings Road in Chelsea. My father was in awe of the car, and only as the owner got in, did he realise that it was George Harrison.

I paid £4625 for that car ,brought from Keith Manning a trader in Woking, in 1974,who i believe took it in from the first owner as a part exchange, Saw it advertised in the Exchange & Mart. He took my John Player Lotus Europa Special in part exchange lol.@@FusionKidd

George Harrison also had a Rocket, by Gordon Murray, the designer of the McClaren F1. This was an open wheeler for the road with seating for two, one behind the other. A fabulous vehicle. George is sadly missed, he was a great guy.

The Ford Anglia was built at the top of Georges road, I seen him in the Aston as a kid, he drove very fast.

Jodie Kidd has an excellent car channel called kidd in a sweet shop. In one of her videos she sat in his F1 at a show, still had his custom interior

Be interesting to know if these beauties are still in a garage at Friar Park. Luxury cars definitely held their value much better than the £ in the 1970s. So being a massive petrol head was a good investment 😂
