Ringo Starr says being a left-handed drummer who uses a right-handed kit has allowed him to play in ways most drummers cannot. Although he has always been dominant with his left hand, Starr says using a right-handed kit gave him more versatility in his music, both with the Beatles and in his solo work.

Rich, you being a left hand drummer playing a right handed kit makes for interesting fills that are generally different from how a right-handed player would play them. This is why Iove your drumming!

Stan Levy played right-handed on a left-handed kit. John Poched played left-handed on a right handed kit. I play right and left-handed on a right-handed kit. We all do what works for us.

Ringos drumming whatever hand was important to the Beatles.Pete Best probably better and more handsome,But Ringos drumming and the fact that they liked him helped a lot. He had played with them many times before. Thanks Sir Ringo Starr.🥁🎸🎤
