FILM DESCRIPTION:
A young woman (Matilda Lutz) becomes worried about her boyfriend (Alex Roe) when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a movie within the movie that no one has ever seen before.

It can work. They can make her creepy because of that. Or they can brush it off saying Samara talks mature for her age. Luckily she barely talked in other movies, even when alive, so we can buy it.

@@OrtegaSeason Yeah., you're right I like that the second movie doesn't shy away from Samara at the end of the day being just a child. Like, she did all that to ressurect, and once ressurected, she just went back home and started watching some cartoons. Just chilling, not planning nothing on a world-wide scale. I kind of imagine her using Julia's body to go into the tall rides on amusement parks.

@@FizzoWeird The way I think of it is that there’s a whole bunch of horror films where you have a monster disguised as a child e.g. Exorcist, The Orphan, The Omen etc. The Ring reverses that trope and instead has a child disguised as a monster.

Samara planned this all this time to be reborn in someone. She needs to find the perfect vessel to be reborn in and she found Julia as the perfect vessel. She wanted someone to find her body to burn it so she can be free and enter someone's body. I wonder will the series continue to find away to remove Samara spirit out of Julia and will the mother and her son return for the next ring series.

At first I thought it had something to do with Julia witnessing how Samara killed Skye. But then I remembered that Julia was not the only one. In the first movie at the very beginning there was also a girl who witnessed Samara kill Rachel's niece. So it doesn't make sense why Samara didn't chose that girl?

Burke, who is revealed in this movie to be Samara's father and Evelyn's (from Ring Two) rapist, tells Julia while she was hiding from him that she is the 12th Person that Samara reached out for. I don't know what he's done to the 11th people, idk if he killed them or managed to dissuade them that the body wasn't there but judging from the fact that Julia I guess was the only one to find the prison basement Evelyn was kept I think Julia was the one that was able to piece all the clues together. I remember reading that Samara was looking for a kind and compassionate host that would want to watch the video out of pure goodwill and or sacrifice so I guess Samara was just looking for whoever was willing to watch the video and wanted to end the curse wouldve been the perfect puppet for her to manipulate as Julia becomes her new vessel for rebirth instead of possession (Aidan/ring two)

Good question. One can say that because she's the lead 😅 but if we were to look for actual answer supported by the material, I would say that it has to do with what Skye said about Samara being angry at everyone for transforming the curse into an experiment. It was being spread, but most likely not many people were actually dying and the whole thing had been turned into a game of sorts. So when Samara spotted Julia, who was an outsider and was not involved in Gabriel's experiment in any shape or form, combined with the fact that she knew little to nothing about the curse (and about her for that matter), she took her chance to use her to fulfill her purpose of being reborn thus effectively ending the cycle since she was now free to do what she wanted to humanity and I'm guessing this time around there was no way out. Just my opinion based on what was shown on the movie. I'm sure others have different theories as to why Julia was singled out.

There must be, otherwise the ending is just weird. Next movie will probably go about free samara from julia's body. And I wonder how she kills people now, because she's reborn in julia's body so she doesn't have to crawl out of a tv anymore to enter the world, she's now able to kill people whenever she wants and wherever she wants.

The victims look in her eyes. She's has a paranormal ability called nensha, which gives her the ability to burn gruesome images in other people's heads.The people that look in her eyes get these gruesome images burned in their heads and they end up in a sort of cardiac arrest. She also made the tape with nensha as the clips on the tape are images straight out of her head that she burned on a tape. She can also make people and animals go insane with the ability, that's why the horse in the first movie went insane or why Evelyn tried to drown her after birth and why her adoptive mother commited suicide, because she burned images in their heads sort of telling them to do that.
