I had the luxury of seeing a Bugatti from around that era. It was a 1937 Type 57, and it showed up late to a car show. Your example is absolutely beautiful!

@@MapleLeafCustoms it was super cool to see. The guy had said it was purchased new back in 1938, and been passed down through the family. They kept the car looking clean, and pristine. I'm almost positive I have pictures of it, somewhere

Very ambitious to disassemble a Rio! They are at the same level as Franklin Mint when it comes to details! I have two in my collection and I can't imagine disassembling either of them, and especially to reassemble them correctly. You did a wonderful job with this one! Andrew, I love how you challenge yourself. It inspires me. To be honest, when I saw photos, I thought this was a 1/64th-scale car. To learn it's practically a part-for-part recreation in a larger scale impresses me (but doesn't surprise me) even more. This really came out clean and neat, and I could easily see that in a gift shop in the Great White North. And not a single McKenzie Brothers reference. Wonderful! Happy Canada Day, Andrew!
