Grande Rio told the story of the father of saint Joãozinho da Gomeia. The wing opener drew attention with earthy tones and beautiful scraps of cloth and crochet, in addition to "a bird-man". One of the highlights was the return of Paolla Oliveira as drum queen, dressed as Cleopatra, after ten years away. Paolla was not the only famous samba dancer. The school had names like Monique Alfradique, Agatha Moreira and Luísa Sonza.

When His Reverence Lord Mahavira was busy in his strongest meditations in a naked state, the goddesses filled with lust came to him and started singing and dancing. They removed all of their clothes and started inviting him for enjoyment with them again and again. Seeing his determined silence, everyone fully naked started embracing him many times. But God remained unmoved in his deepest meditation like an iron hill, not even a single pore had shivered at all. After making all their efforts, when they could not distract the Lord from even a fraction of the attention, all of them gave up and returned.
