I load up my Can-Am Outlander 570 and head to the Rio Grande River to ride my ATV and cook up some awesome campfire tacos in a cast iron skillet. Getting outdoors to enjoy a day of riding and eating beats sitting on the couch at home.

I’m amazed at all these trails New Mexico has to explore. When we were in Las Cruses in mid January the Rio Grande was bone dry at the Rte. 70 bridge. Please keeping the wife and kids happy so you can keep exploring. Have fun

Unfortunately with the drought the Rio grande can go dry at different parts of the year. It is so sad to see the southwest go through these dramatic changes. We are very fortunate to have great trail options to ride ATVs and if you like jeeps, there are plenty of jeep trails as well. LOL, that is my goal to keep the wife and kids happy so I can go explore.👍 Thanks for watching bud.

You are right about the firewood, we have firewood everywhere out here and a ton of it. I am glad you liked the Tacos, they were pretty dang good and the leftovers lasted into breakfast the next morning. We had a nice evening together, thanks for asking. It would have been a great place to fly the drone over the river. I should of added a little bit of drone footage.

Loved the quad copter footage, bummer about the Bullsnake, they help keep the lizards and rodents in check. Thanks for explaining the ingredients I was wondering if it was potatoes or onion. any meal in cast iron is great, and outdoors even better. All the best to you and the family.

What a great ride. Love the tour of the river. Once you get closer to ABQ they limit access and where I live is all Indian Reservation land. Out here they don't say anything as long as you stay on the ditch road. Once you leave you are trespassing. Had some fun encounters , but keep up the great work!

Here in Valencia County they sell keys to have access to the Rio Grande River. I suppose that is a good thing they limit the access to the river in Albuquerque. That is how it is here also about just using the ditch banks. I live right on the border of Isleta so I am on their ditch banks for about 5 maybe 10 minutes. River riding and playing was fun. Since irrigation has stopped, the river is higher now. Thanks for watching buddy!

Hey that is cool you used to breed bullsnakes. We have a lot of them in the community I live in and they are also up in the lower elevations of the mountains. They get big out here, must be all the mice. This guy probably died from freezing. That morning was in the 20s. I thought he was alive and just stiff. Then I snapped, nope poor dude is dead.

@@ManzanoManATVAdventures could've been run over being on a road, people will often intentionally kill snakes for no reason other than fear. Bullsnakes are incredibly hardy, so hard to say if it was weather related.

It’s unfortunate people kill bull snakes because they are harmless. When I see them on the road I usually stick around to make sure they get off. That is pretty cool you know a lot about bull snakes. We have a lot of rattlesnake here as well. Now them guys are cool to see and freaky LOL.

Great set of trails in to that spot! Must be nice to have dry wood like that around to make an easy fire, but I can see how easily a wild fire can start there! What a great spot for brunch! Had no idea you could cross the Rio Grande on an ATV! Might not have been a good idea to play in the river as a kid, but you sure did make some fun memories! Awesome video again, my friend!
@ManzanoManATVAdventures
@ManzanoManATVAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
That is one thing about New Mexico, it does have plenty of dry wood everywhere. The con is fires breakout quickly when someone is careless to the environment around them. The Rio Grande is at its lowest I have ever seen it. It is generally higher but this last year we have lacked a lot of moisture. But on the flip side it is allowing us to ride Quads in it. The freaky thing is trying to read where the avoid the deep holes in the river. I look back on it now and I can't help but think we were dumb kids who didn't listen to our parents to not play in the river. But yes, memories were made and I guess the biggest thing is we all survived. Thanks for watching my friend.

Hi Ruben, Is that area you're riding along the Rio Grande River a flood plane or flood control area? It kind of seems like it to me. Also, your Can-Am 570 sounds so smooth. I really like that. I think I'm getting healthy enough to pick up my 850 Outlander Max this Friday. I'll have a chest X-Ray tomorrow to ensure I have no surprises regarding my recovery from pneumonia. Anyway, I just need to get my daily dose of your channel and beautiful scenery rides. Thanks again.

Hey there. I am glad you are making a good recovery and I hope things continue to go well. This is actually a river that runs through New Mexico. I have one video that comes to mind on a level of hard such as steep terrain and the trail being rocky, check this video out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i6yBo9h-krKniH0.html. I can tell you by experience that an ATV is a great machine to have in the outdoors. It tackles trails easy with or without 4x4. I wouldn't worry about tipping it over since it can be pretty hard to do. But I would recommend riding it and getting a feel for the ATV before you start doing harder things. Be safe and I hope you get an ATV. It is so much fun!
