Saka’s been the best attacker on the best team in the league this season 🤒. They also have the same amount of goal contributions just Saka has played less games and has better stats in the other departments 😂. Not to mention they’re both English and Saka deservedly started ahead of him at the WC, was Englands best player and is the current English player of the year 🤨. Sure if arsenal are the best team surely their best attacker (saka) should have better stats? But he doesn't. Only one he beats rashford at is chances created. And like I said in all comps Rashford only has 1 less assist. Saka could reach that next level he certainly has the potential, but he isn't on the level of a rashy. Rashford played games as a striker. Also rashford makes a lot of runs in behind when he plays as a winger where sakas role is different he comes to receive the ball to create. Saka is a better playmaker, dribbler and finisher. Rashford just has pace over him. I know your probs thinking rashford scored more goals so he’s a better finisher. False, rashford scored more cause he got more chances not because he is a better finisher. Rashford conversion rate is worse then saka. So in short saka is better which is why he starts for England and not rashford as rashford dosent play well throughout 90 minuets as he isn’t an all round player.

@@ShawnS14 there’s a reason why he wasn’t starting for England. Two words, genral play. You and most people hyper focus on the final action (g/a) and don’t look at what happens before the g/a. The g/a literally just means the last two players to touch the ball before a goal. Those players aren’t anymore important (depending on the play) then the 3rd, 4th even 8th last player to touch the ball before a goal. As without these players the last two players don’t receive the ball to get their g/a. Sakas genral play (the part before the g/a) is better. He makes better decisions on the ball and loses the ball less. Losing the ball decreases the amount of goals your team scores and increases the amount your team concedes directly and indirectly. You cannot measure a players effectiveness on g/a. This is why we have salah vs hazard debates because we have one side that thinks you can measure a players effectiveness by stats and the other side thinks you can measure a players effectiveness by watching them over 90 minuets with your eyes. You cannot use stats to compare players. They play in different systems with different roles. Rashford has more goals for these reasons. Played some games as a striker. Literally only 7 of his goals came as a winger go watch his goals on man united channel they put a video out. He plays with a pivot striker not a goal scoring striker. Which means rashfords role is to get on the end of chances and run in behind not the striker. Saka plays on the wing as a playmaking winger not a goal scoring winger. Plays with a goal poaching stiker that gets on the end of everything (nketia) This means saka gets less chances hence less goals. You cannot measure a players dribbling or playmaking with assists. Salah gets more assists then Ronaldinho. Is he a better dribbler or playmaker then him? Put the stats down and watch players over 90 minuets. Watch what they do every time they receive the ball not just the final action.

And… we’re comparing Rashford, the ONLY reliable threat on his team to Saka, on a team with multiple threats, who doesn’t have to think his way through anything to ensure his team is close to winning. Saka will NEVER be as physically imposing as Rashford and really shouldn’t be thought of in the same conversation as Rashford until he’s the only threat on his team playing against teams set on battering him physically and forcing him to alter his positioning to stay a threat during games.
