Day 89, Part 1 - 22 July 2023
We head out for much needed cash before heading to Jesselton Point Ferry terminal to catch a speed boat to Manukan island….. it doesn’t turn out to be as straight forward as we thought it would be……
- Tickets and Boats from Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal
- One Island Tour Fee 35MYR = £5.83
(Go early and don't take the 2:30pm boat)
- Snorkel Hire 10MYR = £1.60

I did this island hopping tour in the morning (Manukan and Sapi) and it was much better

It was soooo bumpy.. but it was fun. Not good if you are delicate or had any back issue. A lot of impact 🥴

Hmm, weird, there are only tour operators there, no drama, no issue, i never heard this happened before, i am living here for more than one year and is the first time i heard abt this

It’s a shame as would have loved to spend more time on the island. It was a very poor experience….. the overly fast boat ride to get there was quite fun though 😂

@@TravelDiaryWithSJandTim maybe just a miscommunication, there are zero scammers in KK, ppl are very honest, and everything is regulated, maybe not very professional yeah

@@user-us4ft2ic9m don't lie. I'm from Sabah and I know there are many scammers in KK especially those Filipino immigrants.

First question : are they licensed operator? As far as i know only malaysians are allowed to access those islands to bring tourists to tunku abdul rahman marine park. No filipinos or foreigners.

The operator had a office at the pier…. A very poor experience and representation of the trips, a real shame. Take the early trip to avoid I guess…..
