Looks like it has developed a lot since the mid 80s, when I spent the night on a bench in the totaly deserted airport, waiting for the morning flight to Sandakan.

In a borneo island, so many foreigners around the world mostly goes to KK. More tourist from different countries than Kuching, Sarawak

What are other attractions and how many days and the ideal hotel location. I'm making itinerary for Sabah and Sarawak perhaps after visiting Brunei. Thanks

There are a lot of other attractions, but if you're going to the one I mentioned above, 2 or 3 days are enough. There are also many good hotel choices, depends on your budget. I personally like staying in Grandis Hotel because it's attached to the Suria Sabah shopping mall and it's in the middle of the city. If you're staying for longer period of time in Sabah, you should go island hopping, Kundasang and Ranau! Don't forget to check the weather forecast before going to those places. HAPPY TRAVEL! 😊

Those would be in a different list, this list is focusing the city itself. Title would've been named "Sabah" instead of "KK".

3 days is enough if you're planning only to go to the city. 1 week would be ideal if you're planning to visit the city and Kundasang.
