Yes, E85 is a stronger fuel, therefore you will make more power. The 2012 has the 6spd but the power is similar.

We agree, the power makes you forget any concerns. Though, it's to be noted the drive-train is very strong, we have clients that tow with their Grand Cherokees and Durangos without issue. There have been zero reported failures in the five year span on this product, we are not pushing limits with this kit.

The 8 speed is very strong. From cars holding 450whp to our 460whp Ram 1500 regularly towing we have no issues.

@@warwick724 we have over 8000 kits sold worldwide with less than a. 01% fail rate. Most of our clients have very large tires on their Jeep Wranglers which pose even more load on the drivetrain. The engine and drivetrain are very reliable and have been strong all the way up to and past 150k miles.

RIPP Superchargers I realize they are a big investment of time but you guys have been particularly good at not just dyno runs but having Ross do the videos on driving the cars, living with them, weird quirks (or lack there of) - all this soft touch, confidence inducing content walks people closer and closer to feeling comfortable with a $6-8k investment in their car and bet on Ripp. Install videos go another step in that direction, less demystifying the big scary supercharger mod. Hey people with money and long weekends, how about you give this a try? See how easy it is? I’ve watched every video there is on Ripp, Whipple, etc and steps that still freak me out are panel removal AND reinstall (Incase I need new plastic rivets or something), tapping the crank and installing tune on newer cars (the whole PCM process explained)

ugh, was typing on my phone, easier to put my thoughts here while on a keyboard... The other purpose of doing 'install' step by step videos (basically your install guide) is to address a NEW segment of the market that you currently aren't tapping into: do-it-your-selfers. I've priced out a Ripp/Whipple install around town a few different places, it's typically +$2k-3k on top of the base kit. I don't want to give someone 2-3k to install the kit for two reasons... (1) I'm worried about them doing it sloppy and (2) I enjoy this stuff (I've done SC upgrades on my cars before) Because of that I've never taken the leap... if I literally had a 30-45min video on KZfaq, for exactly my car, of you showing step by step how to install the SC and I could just reference it as I went... you make it really really easy for me to become a customer. I imagine 90% of your viewers of those videos are doing it for interest/curiosity/entertainment... but 10% of us literally want to use the video as a reference and hence my comment about sales hike. Another interesting idea: embed a special coupon in the video that is specific to that video that stacks on whatever existing coupons you have... so you can track sales for a year and see if the videos are worth the time. If you only sell 1 kit... well then I'm wrong and forget it. If you sell a handful a month because of it, then maybe you are onto something. I wouldn't recommend this normally but you guys obviously have a commitment to your YT content and understand your customers that are looking for something beyond a Dyno number... I want you to take that to the next level.

AWD has more rotating components which will take power away. AWD still makes over 400whp easily so the AWD vs RWD really depends on your location and needs.

Hi, this vehicle has been sold off and is still running strong. It has over 100k now used as a daily driver. We have over 8000 kits sold worldwide based mostly on the 3.6 Pentastar. Most of our clients are very big tire Wrangler guys with very heavy load on the drive-train, we have clients who have gone over 150k miles on their supercharged vehicles for a total of 200k on their vehicles. Reliability is our number one goal.

RIPP Superchargers What about torque? The 3.6 is claimed to have 260 lb ft at crank. The 845RE is rated to handle up to 330 lb ft. So potential of 70 lb ft gain and staying within spec. RIPP states a gain of 120 hp at wheels. How does hp rise dramatically faster than torque assuming you stay within specs?

Our gains are way past a factory 5.7 though. Additionally the 5.7 has 3:07 gearing making the acceleration and over all feel dull. Compared to the 3:73 found in the SRT and the 3:43 found in all the V6s we would argue that with the addition of the RIPP Supercharger and the added MPG it produces makes for a great combo as a daily driver and occasional midnight racer.

They are different kits because the piping is different, we have them packaged for cars on our site though.

@@evgenyzolotarenko7385 we tune on 91oct and that's what should be run on minimum. But, keep in mind that most clients pick up 2to4 mpg when driven normally and some have picked up more. This offsets any cost at the pump.

Wow. So the 2014 + 3.6 and 5.7models of the grand cherokee and its durango cousin have a zf designed 8sp. Chargers got the same in 2015 I believe. The old 5spd in the Cherokees 2011-2013 was again on the base v6 and was built by mercedes. (a very strong transmission Btw, but has been know for bad shift speed and behavior). The V8 got a 6spd another chrysler/Mercedes products, that was the same 5spd with an additional overdrive... Traction control won't give you more or less power. Over inflating your tires will just wear them out faster and give you a harsher ride. And no one has ever turned their head when passed by a v6 charger unless they weren't racing and you were driving like a moron

getnbigger29 The 6 speed did not have an additional overdrive. The 5 speed still has two over drives. The only difference between the 5 and 6 speed was that in the 5 speed there was a 2 and 2' gear. The 2' gear was for downshifting and could not be accessed under normal acceleration. The difference between the 5 and 6 was then programming which let you access the 2' gear under normal forward acceleration.
