Exploring while unraveling the history and culture is also enjoyable, isn’t it?! We were also politely shown the Riquewihr church. Très belle petite ville pleine de charme, de féerie et d'un passé historique sans pareil, ses façades boisées qu'elle beauté, j'ai aussi pris le petit train qui fait un parcours sur les collinesparmi les belles vignes et nous à fait découvrir des restes des romains, eh bien oui déjà à l'époque les vins des lieux plaisaient aux romains, nous avions eu la chance de voir les grands nids des cigognes, et les cigognes qui se promenaient librement , très beaux souvenirs liés à cette visite, que nous avons fait après avoir visité Strasbourg. Toute la région vaut et mérite un séjour pour découvrir tous les coins.

@walkingtoursandroadtrips Schöne Orte bzw. kleinere Städte sind Bamberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Heidelberg, Trier, Potsdam, Görlitz oder Lübeck. An größeren Städten sind München, Hamburg, Dresden oder Leipzig sehenswert. Ich habe die Eifel in der Nähe. Hier gibt es eine Reihe hübscher Städtchen wie Monschau oder Bad Münstereifel.

Cities and villages of Alsace are well preserved thanks to the Maginot fortifications, thankfully the region didn't live intensive battles during WW2, in 1940 Germans attacked by north (belgian) side, and they withdrew through the Ardennes in 1944.

Beautiful! You need to go to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. It's as cute, beautiful and well preserved as Riquewihr but it is much bigger, a proper town, and it is completely surrounded by an intact medieval wall that you can walk on. :)

Visitez également les hortillonnages et le quartier Saint Leu ❤❤❤❤.....à une heure vous avez la baie de Somme, considérée comme une des 5 plus belles baies du Monde, puis la baie d'Authie, sa petite sœur. Le Crotoy et Saint Valery, le parc du Marquenterre....plein de choses à découvrir ❤❤❤❤

the town has a vibrant muslim community! they have integrated very well - just last week they were having a protest to get rid of israel (eww!) they have really adopted to french values very well. rumors are a local supermosque is even in the plans! fantastic, finally some diversity in the area.
