Today I'll be showing you a step by step tutorial of my current "go to" makeup look using (almost!) all Chanel makeup. I will also give you a mini review of the new Ultra Le Teint liquid foundation which is a replacement for the now discontinued Le Teint Ultra Tenue.

Your channel is my absolute favorite beauty channel. I am older😊 yet new to skincare and makeup. Beauty my new hobby while being cooped up for Covid. I like that you do drugstore brands as well as the higher end products because I’m living on a retirement income... low! You had me at 'Chanel!' I have such a soft spot for the brand, not only because they make beautiful products, but because it brings back memories from my childhood. Thanks so much Risa; the Chanel shadows and blush look particularly lovely on you. When online shopping, along with the product descriptions, I wish some brands would include models of various skin tones wearing the product. A picture alone just doesn't do justice to the product; I like to see how it looks on various skin tones. I suppose it would be extra expense. Do I sound like an old crank? Probably; but I am too old to care! Love your videos and you and I hope you are feeling better!!

I just purchased the Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation, and after 2-3 hours, it was so oily, I will return it. Haven't found anthing to beat the Senegence (MakeSense I think) Foundation in Dewy. It's oil free and water resistant and works so well on my skin. I don't sell it and just wanted to walk into a store to purchase foundation, but nothing has come close to how that works on my skin. Medium coverage I'd say but feels like a light coverage. I do my make-up in the mornings and go. I don't have time, or want to lol, to touch up throughout the day. Thanks for your videos!!!!

Great video. I also just did a Chanel haul. I went to Nordstrom for new Chanel glosses, well! I came out with new blush, lip pencils , glosses, a new twist up shimmer. I just had so much fun! I love watching your videos!

So pretty! Love the video! I wish I could afford chanel! Ive always wanted to try it. When I go in and there is a makeup counter I always look and wish. Maybe one day. I really wanna try gorgio Armani too. The most high end ive tried is lancome, which I LOVE the foundation! And ive tried their powder and a few other things. Estee lauder, ive loved everything from that brand too. Elizabeth Arden, I never hear anyone talk about that brand anymore, I don't buy anything from them anymore, havent for a long time. But years ago I use to wear a foundation that was a cream, in a compact and it was really good. Im not sure they even make it anymore. I need to see. It was so pretty.

Risa, I know you think Chanel foundations are too pink but for those of us (like me for instance) who have a medium skintone that has a lot of pink ,their foundations are a godsend. I wore 32 and 40 in the Perfection Lumiere. NOw, I have to choose a new foundation but am so glad they suit me perfectly. It seems that most lines run yellow. thanks for the tutorial!

Oh my gosh!!! The same thing happened to me. I tried this Chanel foundation by putting on the back of my hand and using a beauty blender. I went to the mall later and was horrified to see a ridiculous stain because it had totally oxidized way too dark. I have a question - I am using Estée Lauder double wear foundation and I really like it. I use a moisturizer and primer and I often get pilling and flaky patches on my face. What do you think is causing that? I’ve tried several primers so not sure what the issue is!! Thx for all you do!

Beautiful! I never apply gloss directly from the tube unless my lips were bare. Applying over lipstick will taint the wand and the remaining gloss in the tube.

Hi Risa...if you're looking for video ideas....could you show some ways to use yhe dark sparkly shades that are in so many eye palettes? I always get sucked in to a gorgeous sparkly navy or purple but then don't know how to wear it without looking psychotic ;)

I love those colors too and get sucked in. Lol. The only thing's ive been able to do with those colors is I put them on my lid, use a warm brown in the crease kinda. Or I use the darker shades on the outer V and lighter shades on the lid then a neutral brown in the crease..... I still can't get it to look good. Id like to see a video on it too!

Hi Risa!! I love all of your videos, they have really helped me step up my make up game!! I have a question, hopefully you can help me!! I wash and moisturize my face every morning. It always looks really nice and moisturized. But then I put on my foundation and when I'm done my face looks super dry and flaky instead of beautiful and flawless!! What am I doing wrong??

Chanel makeup is so beautiful. I typically wear the same foundation shades as you, and the B30 turned a very odd shade on me. Looked quite strange. I purchased the BD31 and it is perfect! Such a nice foundation and you only need a pump because it spreads so effortlessly.

I 100% agree with you about their foundation shade range. I loved one of the formulas but had to return it because the color was SO pink on my fair/light skin. I would buy if shades were better. Pull it together, Chanel!

Your look is beautiful! It's just my opinion, but I think that in the inspiration photo, the transition shade was a bit darker, and was carried in very strongly all the way, straight across, to the front of the brow and then filled up the inner corner down to the lid. And the darker shade on the outer corner was taken up much higher on the brow bone, and strongly carried, yet narrowing to about 2/3 across the crease. That's just what my eyes see. But, you have paired it down to an everyday wearable look. I could wear your interpretation out much more confidently on a daily basis. I love it! I absolutely love the blush, and the lipstick. Your lips look so full and smooth! No kidding! Great video, Risa!

I order the generic latisse from Reliable Rx an online Mexican pharmacy that doesn’t require a prescription for months now... it works beautifully !I’ve never had any financial issues working with them. Another KZfaqr named Jenn suggested it after she’s been doing it for months and not having any issues. I love it ! I think I paid $16 for a three ML bottle it’s so cool and I get my Retin-A there too

I wish I could do eyeshadow like you do. Can you remind me what eye cream you use, and or if you use a primer underneath your concealer? I’m struggling SO MUCH lately with dry under eyes - concealers that worked 6 months ago feel like the Sahara desert. I’ve tried every eye cream formula I can get my hands on, even oil underneath my eyes. For instance today I’m wearing Estée Lauder Double Wear and it feels awful. Maybe I need to mix oil with it, or maybe the primer I’m using (The Balm eyeshadow primer) is drying me out. I feel like every liquid concealer feels dry - I’m at my wits end trying to find full-ish coverage without having to layer, but not looking dry and cakey. I’ve watched countless videos on what works best and how to prep, apply and set. Nothing is working for me. Thanks!!

Hi! Would you please recommend a good face powder? I have oily skin in some areas and dry in others. I struggle making foundation look good. I have six of them and they break, they cake or they look very dry. I try primers or no primers and is a hit and miss. My face gets irritated from certain foods, so I can’t help it. I need a good powder for touch up during the day as I live in south Florida. I had a channel foundation and eyeshadow once, when I lived in NY and it was the best ever! I don’t think I’ve had better makeup. I use a lot of Lancôme. Thanks

I tried this foundation. I can NOT get it to work on my skin. It gives me white polka dot pores. I've tried it with a sponge and my fingers and it won't work. Any suggestions?

I see you are using the Surratt eyelash curler. Is that not the best eyelash curler ever? I have used them all and this one is by far superior. I love all my Chanel products and agree with you 100% on all your pros and cons. I'm so glad to hear you say you like the sample mascaras the best. I thought I was the only one who thought that way. I believe that the samples have less product to brush ratio and that's why the coverage on the eyelashes is so good. The full sizes have a lot more product inside and I find that it tends to put too much product on the brush. That's my theory anyway. I got the new NARS Climax sample in a Sephora purchase and I loved it. Purchased the full size and now I'm not as happy with it. It tends to really clump on the eyelashes and I am constantly using my eyelash comb to get off the excess mascara. Thanks for doing this tutorial - I know we all appreciate your hard work and dedication. You're the BEST.

The taupe is different...I have a little nub from way back and it is not the same. B30 is perfect for me...most foundations are way too yellow for me

about 10 years ago they had a compact a solid cream compact called vital luminaire there were two there was one that was small that was a vital luminaire and then there was a large large one they discontinued it it was the only color that match my fair skin there's nothing in the line that matches my skin tone I'm hugely disappointed about it and I'm sure I'm not the only one

Could you please think about reviewing the brushes on shopmissa.com ? Particularly the ones that give a portion to charity bc I think they make those better. I’d like to see how they compare to say real techniques or eco tools. I mean $10.50 for a 10 brush set that are actually good would be awesome.
