Rishi Sunak has accepted responsibility for the Conservative Party’s crushing defeat as he delivers a sombre speech on his way out of Downing Street.
His final prime ministerial speech comes 44 days after he called a general election on the same spot in the pouring rain with Labour’s 1997 election anthem blaring in the background.

@@Sarah-qo9bu do you remember that under the conservative government the greatly inflated our taxes to the highest rate since world war II and tripled our national debt They did that at the same time as cutting all the services.. exponentially increasing the red tape... When they said cutting the services would be what would pay for the national debt If you look at this statistical data from whenever labour has gotten in.. they lower taxes they bolstered the support system and lower the national debt Which really does beg the question what the Tory party do spending an average of 1.7 billion a day
