most of my focus will be on MD but ill still try at nats , if i play vs a friend in top cut tho ill most likely just give the win away

​@TheDBGrinder seems dumb to do if you play a friend in top cut for example. Be better just to play to win at that point. Understand if it wasna regionals for example.

Thats the thing, sometimes it is not the best choice to shotgun shifter in the draw or standby phase. Like you said, waiting for your opponent to invest some resources on to the field, then using shifter can be game changing. Unfortunately using shift in the main phase makes you lose to triple tactic talents/thrust. Shifter is so busted that it is worth the risk.

However, i believe the difference here is that Throne isn't triggered because Phantom left due to battle and it's irrelevant where it ends up, unlike Tradegy that only checks if it's banished whether it was for battle (after leaving the field) or cost. this is not true for the case of throne triggering. the card is bannished because of a card effect. the card is NOT leaving the field because of a card effect

With fiendsmith you start cutting yubel engine, 2 spirit, 2 squirm, there's some ocg builds on 1 samsara

@@gigadon120 cutting squirmer in yubel is crazy, I'd rather go over 40 to play three of him. Cutting samsara I could see but samsara + smith is a pretty formidable two card combo since smith can make up for the lack of bodies from lacking throne in just the lotus combo

Game 3 (@9:50) casually loses a hand from hand when Pain triggers Throne to get both Yubel + Terror then spin them both for Phantom while keeping Spirit and the search in hand. On the opponent's turn not only do they miss the Spirit in hand for a free body, they would have gotten the followup.

I mean... it can. If you do not go for the typical Branded stuff like Branded fusion, as the engine does have a nice chunk of Tuners, extenders and Spells that have effects in the GY for Whitewood cards to freely send. Something like Quem, Albion the Shrouded Dragon, some Branded Spells. Pretty easy lvl 12 Synchro access and Branded utility.
