Our Performance Blow-off Valve Kit improves supercharger reliability and performance by relieving unwanted pressure during off-throttle operation. Reduces supercharger clutch & gear wear and eliminates heat soak in discharge tube. High-strength silicone hose with integrated HKS valve installs easily in place of OEM elbow joint. Includes high quality HKS Super SQV (Super Sequential Blow-off Valve) that features unique sequential valve structure and a differential pressure control system, allowing for a broad operation boost range. When you install the BOV, how did you suggest connecting the Vacuum line? Do you drill into the Intake Manifold and thread on the Fitting? Or do you use the T splitter and connect to the hose under the MAP sensor? (Is there anything wrong with taking this approach) Thanks.

Hi Ryan,When doing this install do not connect to the MAP sensor tube. That will cause errors in fuel/air mix. Please be sure to look at the directions in the kit instructions to attach the tube to the manifold.

just purchased 2016 fzr looking to do anything I can to improve reliability to my supercharger. should I wait to install this product until after 5he breakin period? also this product seems to make a lot of sense, why doesn't this blow off valve come stock with the supercharged engines?

+John Lucas The RY17040-BV Blow Off Valve Kit can be added to the ski at any time. There is no need to wait 5 hours breakin period to install as it does not affect the power. The reason the unit’s do not come with a blow off valve from the factory is because with lower boost pressures the factory charger produces the clutch in the supercharger gear set handles any back pressures. As boost is increased, or if the ski is ridden hard and/or over rough water the blow off valve will help increase reliability of the clutch and supercharger. When i install this bov kit, the ECU needed flash or only install the kit ?

It is not necessary to re-flash your ECU with this BOV kit

I agree these blow off valves are a must but how come manufacturers of these watercrafts don't put them on their skis when they sell them ??

I guess so they can make money off of you when you need servicing and when the clutch does go out. Just my 2 cents
