Hey Terry, great video as usual! Keep it up love these little segments. I’ll be in Vegas coming up here in August and was wondering where some good railfanning spots are and if there are any good hobby shops around out there. -Chad

Hi Chad, thanks for stopping by! Glad to hear you're coming to Vegas. One of the better viewing spots in Las Vegas is downtown at Industrial & Utah. They have a bridge that spans the tracks and you can get a good view. If you want to get out of the city scene, any where Interstate 15 crosses the tracks north or south of Vegas is good for rail fanning. As far as hobby shops, we really don't have anything to brag about. Most of the shops are gone, the remaining few are Lionel and O Scale. And those shops aren't always open and the store hours are hit or miss. Let me know if you need anything else. Terry

Hey Chad, I almost forgot, the Nevada Southern Railway has a museum in Boulder City (just southeast of Las Vegas) that has a lot of history about the railroads and the building of the Hoover Dam, you may want to check it out. Terry

It's Wednesday (Jan 26, 2022)… Missing my dose of 'Workshop Wednesday' and Terry teaching me to be a better modeler! Hope you're doing well my friend. How's the layout coming along? Any recent projects you can show?

hahahaha! Funny you bring up "Workshop Wednesday" because I have been thinking about doing more videos. I have a few projects in the planning stage, maybe get something going. I am doing OK, the layout is still there and I run trains at least once a week. Thanks for checking in, I appreciate it and hope you are doing OK too. Terry

Hi Terry! Glad to hear all is well in your world. I for one would really like to see more of what you do and how you do it. It did take me a while to learn it, but I now realize that even if I don't model the same RR, era or even Country, I can still learn something from every modeler. And that's one of the reasons shopping at a "Dollar Store" can be so rewarding - finding new uses for everyday items. That's also why KZfaq is so valuable - learning how and why you do things (and the mistakes others have made) helps me be a better modeler. To steal a well-known phrase: If you film it, we will watch! I've been a subscriber for a long time so that way I don't miss anything! I'm looking forward to your next "lesson"! And thanks again for your efforts and time, it's very much appreciated.

That's supposed to be the idea behind the model railroading community and I'm glad you're getting something out of it. We are all in this together and sharing is a key.
