I looked it up and I think the fish was a vundu catfish, the description of the fish also confirmed that of the two men. It has a snake-like body and it can reach lengths of 5 feet,

Guys that big fish here in Zambia and in Victoria Falls has a crazy name called a Vundo it’s so big and can grow to 90 to 100 pounds

They didn't have any fishing rods. So they had to improvise. Cuz u wouldn't wanna put out ur lines and go rest and not want wait for too long. Things happen so that's how life is.

This is in Zimbabwe or Zambia on the Zambezi River. I am from Zimbabwe and the fish that pulled him in is definitely a Vundu which is a type of catfish. They get can get absolutely huge.

They can but the those kinds of fish don’t eat live humans. Those catfish can be big but they can be fought off pretty easily. It had to have been a fairly big apex predator

We don’t know if that man was eaten- he disappeared meaning he could have drowned which a big catfish is capable of doing since the line was tied to the man.

Crocs don't avoid rapids, that is a common misconception. There's a video on KZfaq of a freshy sitting in rapids and some blokes startle and then it runs right into the mouth of a massive salty sitting in the rapids.

No salmon in Africa, he was saying Solomon who is also a character in the Bible. Solomon was a king and in Africa Solomon is also given as name to many people, its possible that rhe name Solomon was given to this particular catfish as its the "king" of fish in the river
