Well, that's the thing about (G)I-DLE. You can never expect what their music would sound like, whether you compare it to their previous songs or other girl groups', cause Soyeon once said that she doesn't like to make the same songs and she obviously made that clear through the songs she's made so far and the stages she's directed. And btw, she directed this mv. Plus, though you may not love every song and mv from them (cause as you said they're on their own lane), at least you appreciate the effort they put into everything they do, cause there's research and hard work behind it. I get what Dizz is saying the song is fierce the song is incredible but it also doesn't feel like a song to listen to on a daily basis. They wrote it specifically for a competition show called Queendom and that's why I think it does show how talented they are but it was made for shock value more than play ability.

Icons!!!! Soyeon is definitely the next generations female producer. The amount that she writes for this group is insane. Also I am so happy that Monroe mentioned "OG Vibe" because this is what I was just about to get too. This actually reminds me of 4minute - Volume Up, (I lowkey see you cube entertainment... trying to fill the void of 4minute and B2st). The aesthetic a little bit had me reminiscing about my girls when I first watched this video and I agree with the dreamcatcher hook which was mentioned by Dizz, their is indeed something in those chords that kind of makes me also think about them as well as B2st/highlight for having a dark kind of aesthetic. I also thought this was the song of the year for 2019 after I had watched their queendom performance. I still to this day think its probably their best song to date and you will know if you watch that performance cuz Lord have Mercy on My Soul rookies just did that.

Great reaction! I've been waiting for this! And.. Monroe...you are ABSOLUTELY correct! Soyeon is the entire mastermind of the song and video. She did everything on her own, she presented it to the other 5 girls for approval because she cares a lot about their input and opinion. The girls loved it. And as a group the came up with the concept and costumes. ^__^ This song was created for the show QUEENDOM as the finale song. So the QUEENDOM live performance is absolutely beautiful + mind blowing! The song and theme is what actually fit the finale show the best even though MAMAMOO took the Queendom crown with Destiny (Also a Smash..its so good). But Lion stuck to the Queendom theme so it was beautiful! ALSO...Dizz...you will end up loving this song eventually. Everyone either loves it or stays back a bit from it. And everyone that didnt playlist in the beginning after listening a few times they end up obsessed with it. Lol!!
