Yes, this song is a pre-release. He actually performed this song at Suga's final concert in Seoul for his tour last year. There will actually be 5 total music videos for his album. The cut is actually real, he got hit by a camera while filming something (possibly this video). The Spotify version of this song is over 6 minutes long. If I'm not wrong it's the longest song BTS or a member of BTS has ever done.

If you've read the book 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig, [which Namjoon was seen reading in In The Soop Season 2], Namjoon's character mirrors the protagonist. He explores different phases of life filled with regrets or with the weight of society's pressures: being a good son, a good friend, marrying, and being a good husband and father. Everyone always expects something from you, as the librarian guides him between doors. The protagonist finally realizes that her current life is the best version and lives it without regrets. This is mirrored in the end scene where Joon leaves with Minha (the librarian) and returns to his current life without any regrets. The DOOR Joon yearns for is LIFE! The final scene resembles the bookshelf in the Midnight Library. Another interesting thing is that the book is published by Canongate Books whose logo is similar to BTS but in red. This book saved me and watching #comebacktome as the visual version of the book is overwhelming “Between life and death, there is a library. And within that library, the shelves go on forever. I'll read all the theories everyone has now. My mind is tired of thinking about what's happening. I'm just here for the vibes at this point 😂 Namjoon being a girl dad first is sweet. It just reminds me how he bought baby shoes because he found it cute. Yes someone mentioned we got a spoiler of this song when yoongi brought him out at the dday concert he performed this for us. There is also a book called midnight library namjoon read during in the soop I believe which I think sort of inspired this mv. This is the summary of it. The novel follows a 35-year-old British woman unhappy in her dead-end life who is given the opportunity to experience lives she might have had if she had made different choices.

Personally I think it's about being more than what you thought you could be. At first he was 'trapped' in a certain set of rooms - one where he was a friend, one as a family man, one as a child and one as a boyfriend (so basically all the traditional roles that adults are supposed to fulfill) - but he wasn't happy about any of the situation he found there (maybe bc he felt like he didn't belong), until he met that other woman who seemed to be running around the rooms as well (my theory is that that's actually him/part of him). I think that woman represents the acceptance of "I can be those things IF I choose to - ", which is why we then see him back in all those scenarios we saw him in before, but this time he's happy bc he actual chose to be that and feels like that is the right thing for him. And then him walking out the door of that certain set of rooms he was confined to (bc remember, that door was locked before, he was trapped in the rooms and scenarios that we saw) is supposed to say "but I don't HAVE to be any of that, if I don't want to - there is so much more I could be" (that 'so much more' is represented by the endless amount of rooms we see in the end, a life full of possibilities without having to be what everyone/society expects you to be, if you don't want that)

I enjoyed your reaction! There was a k article that said this is a multiverse. The hallways connects them. He is lost, confused and doesn't feel like he fits in. Right places, wrong person. He notices someone else going through the same thing. They talk and he gains a connection. Then, all the versions of him are happy in their universes. Then the 2 who made a connection go to a different future together? Namjoon has mentioned multiverses many times. Even during FESTA dinner 2022. He said that out of all the possibilities of lives he could have had, he would still choose this one where he is a part of BTS.

That's a real cut, he had an accident right from the start of filming the MV, he hit his head on a camera and went to the hospital to get stitches, came back to the set and started filming again. The director was freaking out because Joonie got hurt, I think it is both real set plus cgi. To me he is trapped in a maze and finally found himself and the path he should walk on. Some ppl said the girl is his Anima, like in Map of the Soul.

After I watched the MV with my son I told him “I don’t know what the fuck just happened. I need to watch Anitra’s reaction so she can explain everything.” But even you’re confused 😅 You definitely understood more than I did though. Personally, I think the sets are models. Cute little model houses just suit him so well, I think. Also, the design of the house, especially the kind of outdoor garden type part, is so him. I can absolutely imagine him living somewhere like that one day, just being a happy plant dad.

I don't know exactly how to put it but this is basically how I feel: I think he has spent a lot of time catering to the expectations of others and being what other people want him to be like an actor in a sitcom, moving from one set to the next. He's performing but no one ever yells cut so he's stuck in this loop. He's miserable and confused but he's drawn to someone or something that just doesn't fit the scene. He feels like he belongs there but he just can't there, not yet. Maybe he's not the right person, but he's in the right place. When he finally meets that out of place person he realizes that person is just like him, a kindred spirit. I am you and you are me. We are both searching for our place. When he finds her he's at peace. He's happy. He's no longer searching and that's when he's finally able to enter the place that was inaccessible to him before. Namjoon has recently said that he no longer wants to have kids so I think him walking out with the woman in the end is him choosing that child-less life path with just his partner. I think all these other rooms with different scenarios are different paths he could have gone down instead but he chose a simple life with just his partner. This theory doesn't explain the scene with him as a baby though 🤔. I also just realised the woman he ends up with is going through the same thing as him. Going from room to room and looking confused. I think a model makes more sense to me.I got a weird feeling of he was looking back on his past from like the end seeing good and bad times. At the end when he opens the door there's a bright light when they walk in. Is this supposed to be like flashes of life before you die? The girl is like leading him on to like an afterlife of some sort? No clue he's way to artsy for me to understand 😂

Here’s my theory… the woman he sits on the couch with is his therapist. Previously he was not ok with thinking about the situations shown and through therapy he was able to come to peace with those situations. In the end he walks through the door with his therapist as he now has the ability to face all the possibilities of the future.
