Such gorgeous pain....It's perfection. Youjeen was the perfect choice. He's a genius, yep!!! We should've seen it coming: In his talk with Pharell, he talked about going over and over the verses wondering if it "hurt enough". YES, RM...it hurts enough. Fireworks to flowerworks...isn't that just exactly what he does? He takes something painful and explosive and turns it into something beautiful and soft. Amazing. (BTW - youjeen is the lead singer of a Korean rock band called Cherry Filter)

Isn't this the most beautiful, perfect, emotional, outstanding, soul reaching song you've ever heard???? Still crying, gut-wrenched, and happy-proud all at once! A MASTERPIECE 💜🙏 His soul needed this to come out!

Youjeen is the legend of legends in Korea. RM ask for her bcoz her voice have that 'han'; a word to describe something that encompass all emotion. It similar to Younha who also work with RM on Winter Flower. And when u mention the sudden drop for the intro, it's not actually 'sudden'. It's part of the firework. If you listen carefully his voice explode like that final firework explosion. But instead of firework that dissipate into the night, he wants to be like wild flowers that continues to grow with his feet on the ground. That's why in Youjeen verse, it's 'Flower work' not 'Firework'.

I don't think you've quite gotten what he's saying. RM is the firework. He (his career) shot into the air like a firework, and burst open like a flower (as fireworks do.). He expected to be able to drift gracefully back to earth like the dying embers and watch fondly from the ground as his career faded, as most careers do, and go back to the other things he loves: art, poetry, books, nature. But he continues to succeed and no matter how much he wishes it was otherwise, his ambition burns brightly (which is why he asks for it to be taken away). He's exhausted from the weight of being responsible, not just for BTS, but HYBE and all of the people who depend on the group and the company for their livelihoods. He feels responsible for ARMYs, whom he loves, but wants to be free of the expectation of perfection . He wants to be able to be himself in public and in private, but that's not possible. He can't even be open about having a relationship with anyone other than BTS. But as tired as he is now, he tells us, he'll do what he has to do (military service) and then come back to us, renewed and ready to begin creating his music and being BTS once again.

If you have been to BTS concerts, watched it, or saw the documentaries, the boys stand just like RM is standing at 0:22 the start of Wildflower. They watch the fireworks that end their concerts. There is one shot very memorable with Jimin standing by RM and they are so captivated and emotional. That moment, that feeling is bittersweet. They celebrate a successful concert but also remember it is over. RM knows how to grab our emotions right away.

I was really shaken up after the first listen. It made me feel a little guilty? Like I felt selfish for being sad that they are taking a break. The boys have done so much for us, nonstop! We owe it to them to be strong and give them the time and space to find their inspiration again and focus on themselves for once.

Can you imagine creating a song that sums up 4 years of your larger than life existence....and have the producer change his mind abt retiring from producing music....and then make us cry and feel happy all at once....what alchemy is RM's poetry in music??..

I 'been crying since it's released... I love BTS ballads, they are my favorites but ... "Wild Flower" hit me like an arrow almost from the beginning. It is so raw and painfully beautiful. He is such a deep mind and a precious soul. The lyrics, his rap flow in this song, the heavenly vocals of Youjeen, the stunning visuals of those landscapes, the Special effects... This video and song are pure Art... I'm obsessed with Wild Flower, I love everything about it!... And two days later... I'm still crying every time But it is heartbreaking to know how he has been feeling through these years, I just want to hug him so bad... Wish him all the happiness in the world. Docskim was also the producer on Outro:Tear...and Jimin's Lies....a pair of heartwrenching songs. Youjeen is prolific in her career but I have yet to hear her come across heartwrenchingly strong in any of her other pieces....she's always known to have a strong voice and is a rock belter...but in Wild Flowers those trademarks came across so differently...so beautifully enveloping RM's prose... Let's not forget the MV director!...what a genius .... Docskim, Youjeen and the MV director are just three people affected by ...and affecting others...thru this RM Namjoon masterpiece.

As a Karmy, there’s no Korean who doesn’t know rocker Eugene of Cherryfilter. RM is the best lyricist n the world. Bts are soooooooo good and they don’t need Grammy anymore. The world knows Grammy is scared of Bts and Kpop.

I always say; whoever has the mic is my bias. Wildflower is a masterpiece! RM is the poet of our time. This song does everything for me. It takes me on a ride through a storm, yet I'm in a tranquil place. He has turned me inside out and then returned me safely.

Many are loss for words at this song...in fact at Indigo as a solo album....as u said...we feel sad and happiness at same time...maybe it's becuz Namjoon vulnerability meets RM matured confidence in the same breath...to allow life take its course...

The whole album is a masterpiece. It is a beautiful story told on 10 different colors. When you listen them in order, then this song feels on a whole different level. Youjeen is a rock singer from the 90´s

This is one of the FEW songs (as a 29-year-old) where I immediately have this surreal feeling listening to it. A lot of songs demand multiple listens to really enjoy and appreciate them. From the moment I heard this song, it hit me. I was getting so emotional listening to it. I fully agree that I can't pinpoint any flaw about this song, except that it ended. Lyrically, and musically, it's a perfect song. I swear if this doesn't at LEAST get nominated for a grammy then that's going to be telling of western media and the industry.

Interesting enough, I don’t remember where it was from but there’s a clip from 2014 of RM and I believe Jimin both watching fireworks together and one of RM’s quotes was “life is like fireworks”. YouJeen is the lead singer of Korean rock band Cherry Filter. I believe the band is 25 years old but have been inactive for 8. RM actually talks about how this song came to be and the process of making it, with YouJeen herself commenting on it in the Indigo Magazine Film. Idk if you’re planning on watching it so I won’t go into details cause I think the whole things need to be watched without spoilers. When I first heard this song, the first thing I came to mind was how much lyrically and even some visuals reminded me of Suga’s “Interlude:Shadow” and RM’s “Intro:Persona”. So I theorize that in the video we see different versions or perhaps eras of RM; the RM in the barren wasteland of ash and ember is where he’s at in recent years (I say 2020 to 2022) when he lost sight of who he is and what he represents. The RM in the storm is a version that’s constantly fighting through harsh judgements, hate, and all the hardships. The RM on stage is well….. his stage persona he shows to the world; The mask if you will. And finally the RM in the fields is I think where he’s at now; finally at peace after letting everything out with this album, he finally made what he really wanted to make outside of BTS’ music where being in the group for so long, they all melded into one entity. He’s gained or regained his individuality at its full extent; he is being Kim Namjoon rather than RM for Indigo

You always ask us how they keep getting better and they do. I am not ok. I’ve been crying and laughing for 2 days. Docskim produced it and was plannyon it being his last song he said but working on this reinspired Docskim about music again. I lost it when I found that out plus he shared a video of his young toddler daughter dancing to the song as soon as it came in she obviously loves her dads song. RM changing everyone’s lives. This album is amazing. I thought I was prepared but I was not.

The whole album gave me a rollercoaster of emotions....my fav is Lonely...that song gave me goosebumps like no other....

My dad's cousin is the guitarist of Cherry Filter, and I've been a long-time fan of BTS, so this collaboration was really exciting to see. Cherry Filter debuted in 1997 (lol the year Jungkook was born) and they were well known in Korea's rock scene in the early 2000s, but were not as active in recent years, so it was really nice to see people get introduced to their music through this collab. Youjeen is known for her wide vocal range and powerful voice. I'm partial to Cherry Filter's more chill/emotional tracks, but their upbeat songs were more popular with the main public (eg. 'Flying Duck' and 'Sweet Little Kitty'), which are often featured in the background of Korean variety shows or in karaoke scenes of Korean dramas. this song feels like rain its comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time . it just depend on are you on road under the rain or sipping tea while wearing a light shawl both leg up on a comfy chair while looking at rain . its exhausting and relaxing at the same time it feels like adulting yet hugging yourself at the same time i cried .... everybody i knew cried ... and the soft floating yet heavy feeling you get after that is just feel like maturing and adulting while keeping it fresh

The most of westerners exposed to K-pop boy and girl group singers only but there are so many solo artists and indie music singers & groups who are unique individually and fabulous. If those artists were in US or Europe, they would have aldeady been well known globally. There are just so many talents out there.

This song is absolutely beautiful. I have listened to it SO many times, and each time I am blown away by its beauty. Imagine, though, a world without DOCSKIM creating music - the man behind Outro: Tear, Lie, and now, Wild Flower. DOCSKIM was planning to retire from the business until this song arrived and he found whatever was missing that made him want to create music again.

first time watching you and I like your reaction, no exaggerated fake expressions and you also read lyrics that's a plus. I feel happy everytime I see bts getting appreciation for their art because they have become a positive beautiful cause in my life to keep going. Especially namjoon, his mono album has saved me for real. I was really down in life and was losing my will to live but then I found bts and getting to know them, becoming an army and connecting with the words they sing to us, I really don't want to die anymore. I want to live as long as possible so that I can forever support my angels. And in 'Still Life', second track from Indigo album, Namjoon says "Life is better than death I'll prove it" well, I can't say for others but Namjoon you have definitely proved it to me and I'm so thankful. Jim I've never seen you get this much overwhelming becouse of a song. I also never felt this way. It dropped 9am in my country i woke and first thing i did was listen to it, and i was not sure if i was still sleeping and dreaming. I was half asleep and i was still getting goosebumps. This album will get me through my 20s. I can't stop now how much this whole album means to me.
