Thank GOD! A company knew the value of including a well-written, assembled paper manual. That is a huge complaint of mine today, given we all need them for one reason or another to learn this gear. Looking forward to getting a setup like this for recording drums. I'm considering this model with a PCIe MADI card (just not sure which one to buy given, I don't need 400 channels). Would you mind sharing which card you're using? There are several.

You have a mind-blowing setup. One question..... Is RME 12MIC an interface in itself? Or do I need to use it as an extension of RME UFX2? Please let me know🙏

Hi! question. Why didn't you put the RME 12 mic in the drum room and just plug a CAT6 cable to use DANTE? is it because you don't have a dante interface?

Thanks for the video. I'm intrigued by why you decided to invest so heavily in RME and are the converters as good as the SSL you had before?

Thanks for watching. Before I officially got rid of my SSL converters I was able to try out some much more modern and high quality converters. RME was by far the best and definitely better than the SSL converters. Not only do other converters have more headroom, a better overall sound, a very very smooth top end, their driver technology is far superior than almost anything out there. It’s also important to know that I started out with the RME Madi PCI express card and the RME M32. After getting both of those, I was so blown away with their conversion quality that I then got the 12 mic for my recordings. After that I got the Babyface Pro to complete my mobile Recording set up.

I’ve only heard great stuff about RME… as in they top the consumer grade stuff in their class.

Sweet. I opted for the OctaMic XTC since I liked the tech specs. I'll send this into the Fireface UFX+ over MADI. I've a MOTU 896 for another 8 pre at 96kHz over ADAT. I may eventually add a pair of tube amps for full body bass drum punch. This is my upgrade from a Scarlett.
