When Melanie Faye grabs a guitar, what happens next can only be described as the result of a pure talent doing what she was born to do. While she has the look of a protege who has been working at her craft for as long as she can remember, Faye doesn’t quite have the traditional come up story. “The real reason I play guitar is because of Guitar Hero III on Xbox 360,” She says. “That was the most influential game of my entire childhood.” Her video game beginnings are a clear indicator of her age, but her musical prowess has proven to be mature beyond her years. The meteoric rise from Xbox to up and coming star is notable, and set her up to be a name to watch in the industry.

Amen God has blessed you with a passion and desire to play this instrument. If you hadn't enjoyed what you were doing you would've ended long time ago because of the frustration that comes along with playing and learning the guitar. When a person's really passinate about what theyre doing, even when they're frustrated they persevere because they love what they do even if they aren't as good as they want themselves to be at the time. But no doubt, given enough drive anybody who waits for the tree to bear fruit will have fruit to eat. Keep up with what you're doing , because you're a major inspiration for me. As Stevie Ray Vaughan once said in an interview, the emotion and soul has to already be present before you can play the guitar, or do anything for that matter. He said if he didn't have it then he shouldn't play at all.
