Picaso Block I can back that last point up with about 3 CNN links, 1 NBC link and various un-cited sources.

Picaso Block what do you have agaisnt police officers, without them no one would be protecting you and your family from people that would want to Rob you, hurt you, or even kill you. I don't know why you think all officers are bad, if one did something bad to you than I'm sorry but you shouldn't generalize a whole group of people of the actions of a few.
@rceme33269 жыл бұрын
Picaso Block i would be curious to see those "sources" based on the fact that i graduated from university and i was accepted for the rcmp. maybe it helps that i speak 2 languages, have a mechanics liscence and am third generation
@rceme33269 жыл бұрын
if you guys feel that way enjoy, however try saying those things face to face with some of the guys in the army im sure based on your comments you hate the canadian forces as well. I'll close by saying one quote "if you dont feel like standing behind our police and military in safety, feel free to stand in front of them in war" only because they do a thankless job to keep everyone safe when they can.

This is cool...having served in the California Highway patrol and training in Canada with the Mounties..they were cool...we envy the ability to have one nationaly trained force with so many abilities.......we have a mis mash of facilities in the States......and these guys have traditions and a history.....doing a tough job at times.......I see the naysayers ..they are everywhere....inferiority complex's and petty jealousies....all cops see that......but the job gets done .........good force be proud of them!
@picasoblock24169 жыл бұрын
Police officers are among the most insecure grown men in North America, which means, more police officers have an inferiority complex than any other profession. Do you want the link to the 2002 Yale-run study that backs up my last statement? I will be happy to give it to you. Here is a fun exert from that study. "....young adults that suffer from a wide possible range of insecurities are naturally drawn to law enforcement careers."

Thank you RCMP for being the most corrupt and intrusive law enforcement agency on the planet. Thank you for jailing and beating up 3/4 of the native population, thank you for destroying families from Nanaimo to Winnipeg.... Thank you for being ignorant pigs with nothing more than a pay cheque and a two-four as your motivation.

Please tell me how a few bad apples can represent an entire force of 70,000 men and women who do their job properly. Have some respect for the people who keep you safe.

How many natives did you smash illegally in your days back in good ol' Regina? When you took that oath, was there a part that said, "Later in my career, after my PTSD develops and I become bitter to all non-Anglo Canadians, can I slowly start to break the law in ways that most people in the public wont see?"

Congrats! Good luck, I have family members in the force, and visited depot for one of thier graduations. Don't let the news or the rest of these comments discourage you. There are corruptions everywhere in the world, not just here in Canada. And I belive that the RCMP is more of a target for complaints because they are a government organization. Anything run by the government is always more of a target. So good luck, its gonna be a hard 6 months, but I wish you all the best 😊

One week amagine,one week...how is there training any different than any Canadian police facility???They recruit the same,screen about the same..assess about the same.........but again other forces do not police the 2nd largest landmass in the world,or have as many different roles in policing.....the Mounties whether you like it or not are unique to the policing world......they have to be.

I wonder what training those RCMP in Airdrie got to keep a guy having a massive stroke, in a cell for 18 hours, writhing around. They took him for a drunk even though he told them he had not been drinking. Or, the Vancouver police who cuffed a 12 year old girl and her grandfather. Must make them all real proud.

The gun may be a "dummy" but their tasers ARE real!
@iswhatitis876710 жыл бұрын
Rick, since you are connected, well, better then any of us schmucks.lol I had a thought. oh no. Regarding police conduct and civilian conduct. What? What if the police always traveled in pairs....now hear me out.....both with the same duties, one with an extra duty. Lets call him the....ah....Situation Control Scout. Picture this. This guys job would entail all regular duties Plus, (Que James Bond Music Here) #1. Recording and documenting all activities. (Hands free cams Head cams, ass cams, are available) all feeds "LIVE" to HQ, where the Situation Control Commander Calls all the shots. (Sitting in his big comfy chair in front of the coolest entertainment center) Who wouldn't want this job? #2. Insuring that conduct between officers and civilians are moral and just. #3. Insures civilian's of all their civil rights. $4. "The Most Important" No Shots or tasers are allowed to be used unless directed/ordered by the Situation Control Commander. IF EVER. A fire arm or taser must be used, it will ONLY be done under the direction of the SCC. (Situation Control Commander) Only the SCC could order an officer to arms. (One gun at a time) ( Unless of coarse its a 'holy crap' situation) Remember, all of this is being recorded live. The more officers required, the more camera angles. Conduct skill and professionalism can be assessed for reviews. New ways can be found to sanely and morally deal with idiots and ....more idiots. Wait there's more. In a situation where shots or taser must be used. Not only that the order FIRE can only come from the Commander on view, but there has to be a controlled fire system. ....or set of rules. Example: Drunk guy got tossed from the bar. Staggering Screaming, Violent behavior. Rule #1 Excessive force may be used, ONLY to immobilize or make surrender a suspect. Never to maim or kill. .....Never to Maim or KILL! Rule #2. Any and all shots can only be fired one at a time, one gun at a time as ordered by the Commander. Again unless its a battle field, but still controlled. While adhering to rule 1 ( Not all 27 of you at the same time ) (Too many John Wayne's loose with live rounds.) Example. (1 Shot Fired ). Is the suspect down? Can we restrain now? If yes. then its over. Job done, Go have donuts. If a second shot is needed, again only by the Commanders direct order. Still under rule #1 One Shot One Gun. Unless....you know. Rule #3 If a suspect is armed,(One guy) All shots must be precise, and intended ONLY to Disarm. Applying Rule #1 Again...under the Commander's order Only! And its all recorded, for later evaluation. Remember, this just came to me, I'm not expert, but I think you so see where this could go. Yes? Cool justifiable idea?
