Olympic should have been preserved as a museum ship for her entire class of ships. The voice of Titanic and Brittanic was probably very similar to the one we just heard

Olympic and Mauretania were sent to the breakers because people needed work, otherwise they both might still be here. Also, search for videos of Titanic’s whistle. It was brought up from the wreckage.

there would be zero chance of it being preserved in any universe, as when it was scrapped no one really cared or thought about preserving things like ocean liners, as they never really thought them to ever become heritage items
@HoennMaster

The Great Depression and newer more modern liners sealed Olympic's fate sadly. The public fascination with Titanic wasn't as great then as it was now and it just wasn't a possibility sadly. However, parts of Olympic do live on. There is a hotel in Northern England that has various fittings from Olympic. I hope to visit it one day.

Just imagine being in New York in the 30's, hearing this and just seeing an absolutely massive ship in the harbor, the likes of which have started to be more and more common, but there's still something special about it-it held the title of largest ship in the world for a time.
