Road bike from scrapyard. Completly restored as own brand Flandria.
I'm a fan of the Flanders Tour - so this upcycling work is tribute to it.

Enjoyed the clip of Museeuw closing the gap on his MBK just like mine. Funnily the paint job on mine is similar to your creation from the factory. Very cool and a definite new lease of life for something most would leave out the rag'n'bone man. 👍

It was a great job, untill you installed the black Crankset and rear derailleur... Moreover I would replace the black insulanting tape with the red ore on the handlebar. Despite these comments, great painting job!!! Congrats and enjoy your "new" bike!

So you took Hercules frame, resprayed it, put Peugeot logo and Reynolds 753 stickers on it. This is crime in a cycling world!

well maybe not exactly a crime but seems a bit disingenuous. And a bit silly to spend all of this effort to restore an old cheap steel frame. just because you can doesn't mean it should be done. should be able to find a better frame from this era to restore. But the restoration is impressive

@zigmassiliekis4775 I thought that too begin with, but the frame is so clearly not what it’s painted as and such a mish-mash of parts you’d have to be a fool to be fooled. For those who know they can be a little smug and everyone can enjoy the workmanship bestowed on something lowly made beautiful.

Nice restoration. But....this is a Hercules and mot a Flandria. And I know, I'm from Bruges not far from where the factory was. If you want a real Flandria, in Flanders you find them everywhere for sale. A good vintage one and in original condition cost about 150 e

Had a pearl white Hercules 10 years ago, from late 70s or mid 80s, in perfect condition, original leather bar tape without a scuff on it. So sad I had to sold it.

I admire the effort put in! But a 753 decal on a bottom of the line gaspipe Hercules? Oh well, someone will like that bike. But! Grease the stem before putting it back in the headtube! Same for the seatpost! And turn that saddle clamp around on the post, that saddle is far too much forward ...

Nice job indeed. But the rim size is small for this frame. It s clear that rear brakes can t reach properly.

Very nice job and a good bike for beginners. As far as I know Flandria bikes were manufactured in Belgium and not in France ;)

Thanks. Ure right. Old Flandries were from Belgium. Now - from UK/China/Taiwan - whatever... Make sure my bikes arent original - those are "tribute" only. It may looks and ride enjoyable :-)

Jestem zachwycony przemianą. Doskonałą robota i niesamowita dbałość o detale. Gratuluję. Szukałem takich filmików ponieważ tydzień temu dostałem od córki jej starą szosówkę Hercules :-) którą jeździła podczas studiów. Chciałbym ją odnowić i nie wiem czy pozostawić stary osprzęt Sachs Hunter, czy unowocześnić tą leciwą ramę. Czy możliwy jest kontakt z Panem w celu porady? Pozdrawiam

Congratulations on making a counterfeit Flandria. Do you know that this is illegal in some countries? I restore high quality vintage racing bikes. I wouldn't be taken in by a counterfeit, but a lot of people would. That Hercules is made of drainpipe, not Reynolds 753. You should be ashamed of yourself!

No one is keeping any secrets - this is not a Flandria bike. Read the description carefully. I think you could show yours „high quality restored bikes”. Make a video, publish it - we'll talk - about bikes, life and broken ławs.
