I had a Pakistani colleague working in my project as QA lead, in USA. He was really overwhelmed by the amount of effort that Indian engineers put in their work. He use to say that Indians are really smart and very hard working. He was not able to keep up to the pace and hard work Indian SE were putting to get the work done. He ultimately left the job. But he was a very soft spoken and friendly guy that I will never forget. One more thing i noticed about Pakistanis that I do not find much with Indians is how much business minded, good in personal finance and great in investments they are (whichever pakistani I met). Most of the Indians are great in saving money but poor in investing it. With inflation, there is no point in just saving money or parking it in a bank account. I feel Indians (me included) should learn to invest their money diligently and should be taught about personal finance and money from childhood!!!

Sorry...that is a very generic comment! As a long term banker, I totally disagree with your conclusion. India's middle class has done so well because of amazing investment strategies and that also reflects from the way AMC businesses have boomed and the stock markets have been witnessing terrific volumes of trading. There is something called valid representative sample to draw a strong conclusion from else it is of no use and is reduced to a conjecture.

The statement: 'Indians sar gira ke kaam karte hain' again subtly reeks so much of typical pakistani arrogance which has led the country to where it is right now. The podcast guest totally and very conveniently overlooked any other qualities of Indian work ethics as the reason for their success but 'sar gira ke' was the only reason. That made me laugh out loud! Even the opinion leaders and so called solution givers of the country are trapped in their sense of superiority so deep!

@@patricksavage242 Nice defence! Now pls go and watch again. He said even if you give 2 slaps to an Indian he will continue to keep his head down and work. Does that translate as focus to you? Sorry, not to me!! :)
@patricksavage242
@patricksavage242 6 ай бұрын
@jugni7615 Bruh, why are you focusing on how he said it instead of what he's saying? I agree that he should've used better words to describe what he's saying, but overall, he's praising Indians for their tenacity to succeed. For example, foreigners make fun of Indians for their accent or say that they smell like curry, etc, yet Indians are the ones who are successful and wealthy, and the foreigners are homeless even in their own country. There is no better story of success than an Indians.
